Alex

Three days.

It's been long depressing three days since the incident in Barangay Kapalaran. And since then I locked myself up in my room.

I was just lying on my bed all day and all night. I'm stuck.

I'm stuck here because my mind is still clouded. It's like there is an invisible wall that is keeping me from understanding a single thing.

Everything is so obscure.

"Argggggh" I grunted while pressing a pillow on my face and rolling to the side.

I cast a look on the clock on top of my side table and it says it's only 5 am.

I heard my door open so I put the pillow down to see who came in.

Though he didn't turn on the light I can still recognize him with the help of some kind of light passing through my window.

"Mag-impake ka na" he casually said.

"Ha?" nalilitong tanong ko. Wala naman silang nabanggit kagabi na may lakad kami ngayon.

"You heard me. Mag-impake ka na." He said then started to walk towards the door.

"Teka nga lang. Pinapalayas n'yo na ba ako?!" tanong ko ulit sa kanya. Nakaupo na ako ngayon sa kama ko at gising na gising na.

Nilingon n'ya naman ako habang tumatawa.

"What?!" inis kong tanong sa kanya.

"What makes you think na pinapalayas ka namin? Ano bang nangyayari diyan sa utak mo Alex?" sabi pa ni Kuya nang hindi pa rin natatapos sa pagtawa nya.

"Dahil pinag-iimpake mo ako. Wala naman kayong sinabi na may lakad tayo ngayon a. I just thought that you were already fed up with my dramas that you want me out of the house" I think I sounded like a 10 year old kid.

"Grabe pinag-iimpake lang pinapalayas na agad? Hindi ba pwede change of plans lang?" sabi nya habang umuupo sa dulo ng kama ko.

Hindi ko s'ya sinagot. I just stare at him.

He let out a sigh na parang ang lalim ng pinaghugutan.

"Look Alex, we all know what kind of telenovela your life has been and in all the shits you've been through we have always been by your side because we are family and nothing can change that. We're not going anywhere or send you anywhere just because you become a wimp but that doesn't mean we can't go on a trip together" he said while smiling at me.

I punched his arm lightly and tried my best to stop myself from smiling.

"Ayoko sanang maniwala kaso english mong sinabi yun kaya sige maniniwala na ko" sabi ko na parang balewala lang yung sinabi n'ya but the truth is it means a lot to me.

"Asus. Sige na tumayo ka na diyan at mag-ayos ng mga dadalhin mo. By 7:00 we're hitting the road" sabi n'ya at tumayo na sa kama ko. He headed towards the door for the second time.

I removed my blanket and hop out of bed.

"Wait!" pagpigil ko kay Kuya.

Nakakunot na ang noo nya this time, nakukulitan na siguro sakin. Napakamot naman ako sa batok ko.

"Ano na naman?" tanong n'ya sakin.

"E kasi paayos ka sakin ng paayos ng gamit hindi ko naman alam kung saan tayo pupunta at kung gaano tayo katagal sa pupuntahan natin" I said as a matter of fact.

"Ay oo nga no? Hahaha"

"Cool ka na sana kanina e kaso hindi mo napanindigan" sabi ko nang medyo natatawa.
