Life is truly a misunderstood, lovely, fucked up mess. Life can either lift you up where you ride a Cloud 9 adrenaline high or will run you over with a bus and leave you to pick yourself back up (assuming you survive). Most times, it feels like you're on either one of the extremes. It seems like life seems to put you down more than it picks you up. You know, like the universe is against you in every way? Maybe that's just me though- like nothing is ever going to be right again.  As soon as you start to feel better and get back on your feet, the universe finds a different way to challenge you and make you feel defeated once again. There is almost never a sense of accomplishment.

Don't get me wrong life isn't always such a horrible thing by all means. It can be one of the most amazing things as well. The feeling of adrenaline when you accomplish something important, that relieving feeling of satisfaction when you finally understand something you were struggling with, loving and being in love - when it works out- having amazing friends and making amazing memories etc. Those are the luxuries of life that need to be cherished and protected.

The good comes but sometimes it feels like it takes a backseat to the bad or negative things that happen. When something big or overwhelmingly negative happens, it's hard to acknowledge the good parts of life that are occurring simultaneously. But, you have to look for the good. You can't live your life in anger, pain, misery- whatever it may be. That's no way to live your life, and you'll never be able to grow as a person if that's what you're doing. You have to buckle down and look for the positives to get yourself back on your feet. Don't become complacent to unhappiness.
