Everything happens for a reason. I am a firm believer in that. I used to believe that nothing would happen to us that we couldn't handle, and that some things were thrown into our path to make us stronger and tougher. I know it's hard to think that some of these horrible and heavy hearted things happen to us because it's for our own good. The feeling of why or how this thing is going to turn you into a better person. It's hard to imagine the bigger picture and how this event is actually just a stepping stone to what you're meant to become.

Some things happen and I just sit there wondering why I had to be the one to take on this burden. I try to remind myself that this is only going to make me  a better version of myself in the long run. But sometimes it just seems like the universe is totally against me and has it out for me. I mean i've done some pretty bad things in my life but nothing to be punished like this. My headaches, my detachment, my loneliness, my mood swings. How am I supposed to see the greater outcome of this?

It's not all bad, every now and again you get a good thing that throws itself in your path as a distraction from all the bad things. Sometimes those little distractions make it all worth it. Whether it be a person, event, or thing that comes into your life, it gives you hope. It  shows you that there are better things out in this world for you and it gives you this amazing sensation of elation that you have to look forward to feeling once you've conquered your demons and paid your dues. Just because it seems rough and unbearable in the moment, it doesn't mean that you won't be rewarded for your strength.
