JAMIE POV
I am sitting in the corner of the dance room on the floor, watching the team dance. That's it. Just sitting. My body was urging to move along with the music, but my cast reminded me to stay still. I sighed as I watched Jimin, leading the team. He was so focused, dripping with sweat as he perfectly moved his body to the music. He was enchanting. I felt like I was doing what he was doing. This calmed me down slightly. After a few moments, I felt someone sit next to me. I turned to see the coach."Oh hey coach." I greeted.
"Hey Jamie. It's really unfortunate that you got hurt." He said. I nodded.
"Yeah... I'm really sorry to disappoint you sir. I know I should have taken better care of myself." I said. He shook his head.
"Don't worry about it. You'll get better in no time if you rest well. I just came to tell you... That you are most likely going to be Jimin's dance partner for championships ." He said. My eyes widened.
"Really? Thank you sir!" I said. He chuckled.
"Thank you for being a great dancer. Your the best girl dancer I have ever seen in this school, and I have been working here for thirteen years. You have talent kid." He said. I thanked him again. "I'm having Jimin choreograph his own dance, so work with him to make it great. I expect to be impressed." He said. I nodded my head, remembering when Jimin told me this.
"Yes sir." I answered. With that, he smiled and got up to walk away. Then, Jimin called a break, so everyone went to get water. Jimin came to me with a smile on his face.
"Congratulations." He said.
"On what?" I asked.
"Being able to dance with me for championships." He said. My eyes widened.
"How did you know that he told me that?" I asked.
"He told me first. It is my pleasure to be your partner for the dance." He winked, bowing to me in a joking manner. I blushed and smiled.
"Same here." I said. Then, I remembered something. "Uh, hey Jimin?"
"Yeah?" He asked as he drank his water.
"So you know how I can't practice?" I continued. He nodded. "Well... Minho asked if I could stop by after school tomorrow to watch their basketball game." Jimin stopped drinking his water and gave me a sharp look.
"And are you going?" He asked.
"Is it okay with you?" I asked. He was hesitant.
"Your asking me if I'm okay with allowing my enemy to try to impress my girlfriend." He said plainly.
"What? No he's just my friend." I said.
"Friend? Since when were you guys friends? He called you a chick and made fun of what we do. You call that a friend?" He asked, slightly hurt by the sudden news.
"He isn't like that anymore." I said.
"How do you know? He's a player. He does anything and says anything to win over a girl. I have seen him do it before, and people like him won't change so easily." Jimin said.
"So your saying I can't go tomorrow?" I asked with a stern voice. He sighed.
"I can't stop you from doing anything. But I don't want you to go. I don't trust him." He answered. I sighed.
"Fine. I won't go. You don't have to worry." I said. Jimin sensed something wrong and tried to reach for my hand.
"Jamie-"
"It's fine. I don't want you to be uncomfortable. You should go back to practice. The team is waiting." I said, smiling. He stopped and looked at the team. Then, he turned back to me with a hesitant look. I watched him as he sighed, getting back up to start dancing again. At that, they got started once again and I sat there, watching and itching to get up and join them.
