45: Staying At School

JAMIE POV

Flashback
"So... how does my leg look, doctor?" I asked. The doctor held up an X-ray of my leg, and he pointed to the picture as he explained my condition.

"Well, you see, a lot has healed already. The rate at which you are healing is remarkable, but I'm afraid your leg is not completely healed yet. You see, if it were a minor break, it would take around six to eight weeks to heal, but in your condition, where your bone was almost completely snapped in half, the expected amount of time it would take to heal would be around thirteen to twenty weeks." He said. My eyes widened.

"What?! That's five months! I can't use my leg for five months?!" I asked. I wanted to cry and scream, but nothing came out.

"Now wait, like I said, your recovery rate is remarkably fast, compared to the average person. You must be really athletic, or your body must circulate fast. It has been a little over three weeks, and your leg is already a little less than halfway healed. I would predict that you would be okay to do activity again in about a month or a month and a half, if your body keeps healing your bone in the quick rate it's going." He said. My eyes widened. What? That quickly? Wow...

"That's great!" Elizabeth cheered.

"Yeah, you're very lucky Jamie. Your body must really want to heal and move again." The doctor said. I smiled.

"You have no idea." I said.

End of Flashback.

"So? What did the doctor say?" Jimin, Jungkook, Taehyung, and Rachel asked in first period. They all stared at me with big, hopeful eyes.

"Well... an average person with my injury would take around three to five months to recover..." I started. Their eyes widened even more, especially Jimin's.

"FIVE MONTHS?!" He asked. I laughed.

"BUT... my body is healing faster than an average rate... about two times faster because I should be able to dance again in about a month or a month and a half." I finished.

"Really?! That's great Jamie!" Rachel said. Jimin sighed in relief.

"Oh thank God. So... that means we can dance together again soon!" He said and I nodded happily. "We have around three more months until championships, so we have plenty of time to practice. We have three more competitions left, one today and two in the next two months, so you will be able to join in the last competition and championships!" Jimin explained with an excited tone. Momo, who was sitting quietly next to him, just stared at him.

"A month is still a long time, but I hope it goes by quickly." I sighed. Jimin came over and slung one arm over my shoulder, pulling me closer.

"It will, don't worry." He said. I turned to face him, his face 3 centimeters away from me. I smiled at him and turned back around as my heart began to race.

"So, how was your date yesterday?" I asked Taehyung and Rachel. They both paused, then blushed. I raised my eyebrow at them. What happened?

"Jamie are you going to go with us to the competition?" Jimin asked. I shrugged.

"I don't know... I want to go but I don't think I should miss my classes if I'm not going to compete." I said. He nodded.

"Stay then. I know how important it is for you to get good grades." He smiled.

"Come on Jimin, we have to get dressed." Jin called for Jimin. Jimin nodded to his hyung and turned back to me.

"I'll see you here after to choreograph okay?" He asked. I nodded and he gave me a quick kiss on the lips.
