By the time the next fight came around, Tony was ready.

Davina made sure to be kept in the loop this time around so that she could tell Tony exactly where Peter would be when it came to it.

She made sure that Tony wouldn't tell Peter, threatening to ruin all of his suits if he even told Peter she came to talk to him.

Tony didn't believe her at first but when she brought up how talented she was at picking a lock and using a bat, he was quick to agree.

That's what brought them to this moment, Davina listening in on Peter's plan of attack, all while making sure to text Tony exactly what he said when he wasn't looking.

Tony was quick to reply with a simple okay, Peter giving her a kiss goodbye right in that moment too before slipping on his mask and jumping out the window.

Davina waited nervously, looking over at Ned and MJ to see them both staring at her with that knowing look of theirs.

"What?" she mumbled, not even waiting for their response before she left the room herself, taking her phone out to check for any texts from Tony.

When she realized she had none, the worry quickly hit her as she then decided to make a cameo at the spot Peter told her she'd be at.

When she got there she was surprised to see that he was alone with Vulture, him inching closer to Peter until in came Tony.

Peter was surprised but still he and Tony fought side by side against the evil man.

Davina took a deep breath before starting to make her way up where when she noticed Vulture leave.

And when she did get up there, There was a not so happy Peter and a sorry looking Tony who backed away when he saw her.

"You called him?!" was the first thing Peter asked when he saw her, pulling his mask off as he headed towards her.

"Peter I need you to let me explain."

"Maybe I should go," Tony mumbled, ready to make his exit, knowing they'd need time alone.

But Peter shook his head, slipping his mask back on before going over to Davina, grabbing a hold of her before he jumped off the building with her holding on tightly to him.

He kept swinging around the city before finally ending up on another rooftop, him setting her down carefully before backing away.

When he took his mask off again, his face read the hurt and betrayal he was currently feeling which honestly broke Davina's heart but she had to remain strong.

"I can't believe you did that," Peter mumbled to Davina who sighed.

"I did it for you, Peter. I needed you safe and I knew Tony could do that."

"So what I couldn't do that myself? Newsflash Davina, I've managed to keep myself alive all this time!"

"Yeah! Barely! I mean after all the fights with this guy you've come to me ready to collapse! I couldn't have that happening again!"

"I don't think you understand Davina! I don't care what you can and cannot have!"

"Well, I do! I'm your girlfriend! Of course, I care!"

"Yeah? Well, most girlfriends would show they care by oh, I don't know- showing they have faith in their boyfriends and trusting that they know what they're doing."

Scoffing, Davina shook her head, "So what I'm not a good girlfriend now?"

Peter's silence was all the answer she needed, her sighing as she crossed her arms, not believing this was a serious discussion they were having.

"Frankly, I don't care if you're mad at me Peter. All I care about is the fact that you're safe and sound. That me calling Tony ended up saving your life!"

"Even if it means that now I don't know if I can trust you? That now I think you don't believe in me?!"

Stepping away from Peter, Davina shook her head, "If you don't trust me then that's fine. That's just the small price I have to pay for your wellbeing. But as for me believing in you? I-"

"Maybe you shouldn't believe in him." Davina heard turning around and there he was. The infamous Vulture making his way towards the couple,"Afterall he did lead me to you."

Within seconds Peter pulled Davina back to him, shielding her with his body as he glared at the villain, "Get away from her!"

"You disappoint me, Parker. Here I thought maybe you'd be a challenge when really all along all I have to do is take the girl and you'll be at my feet."

Davina's breath hitched at that, Peter grabbing her hand in reassurance as they both looked at the flying man.

"Touch one hair on that girl's head and you'll be answering to me." another voice suddenly came into perspective, Tony now landing on the roof.

"How fun. A girl who means something to both of you. This'll be fun."

Peter growled lowly, going to take a step forward but Tony stopped him, "Get her out of here kid. I'll take care of this for a bit."

Peter agreed, Tony charging for Vulture while Peter turned to Davina, grabbing a hold of her once more and jumping off the roof, leaving her close enough to get home.

"You get out of here. Okay? I'll come for you when I'm done here."

"Peter-" Davina tried to protest but he shook his head.

"I'll be with Tony. I'll be fine. You take care of yourself okay? Be careful."

Davina nodded, Peter kissing her quickly before she ran off, trying her hardest not to look back, knowing if she did she'd go back to that rooftop- anything to make sure he was safe.

So, Davina made her way home, leaving the fight to Peter and Tony who almost had him but Vulture still had a little over them to be able to make his escape.

Peter was distraught seeing him fly away but Tony was quick to try to calm the teen down.

He told him to just go home, stay with Davina and she'd be okay.

And that's exactly what he did. He used the fire escape to get into her room, her awake in bed waiting for him.

She was relieved seeing he was okay, him getting into bed with her as he held her close, it feeling like a ritual to them.

Except this time they laid in silence, a silence Peter soon broke as he whispered to her, "I trust you."

And she whispered back, "I believe in you."

And the two laid like that all night, wondering what tomorrow would bring them.
