When Davina got a text from Peter ordering her to go to his place immediately, she wasn't sure what to expect.

She definitely didn't like the sorry look his aunt May gave her when she arrived. But in her defense, she probably gave the same look to May over a year ago.

So, she accepted it, brushing past it and instead heading towards Peter's room, opening the door, surprised to see Gwen sitting at his computer desk.

Davina looked between the two, wondering if she saw the text too late but seeing them both stand and look at her with those sad looks of theirs, she knew she didn't get it wrong.

Sighing, Davina shook her head, looking over at Peter, "What is going on?"

But he gave her a look, a pleading one, "Please just- just listen to her."

Davina didn't want to, at all. The last person she wanted to listen to was Gwen Stacy but seeing that look on Peter's face told her otherwise.

He wouldn't have brung her there if it wasn't important, so, she agreed.

Taking a seat on Peter's bed with him close by, Davina looked at Gwen with expecting eyes, waiting for her to speak up.

"We had our suspicions... about your parents' death," Gwen spoke slowly, afraid of Davina's reaction.

Sighing, Davina shook her head, "Leave that to the FBI Gwendolyn. They said they'd catch the robbers soon enough."

"But it wasn't robbers!" Gwen quickly protested, not realizing how insensitive that was on her part while Peter attempted to fix it.

"Gwen works at Oscorp, as an intern at least, you know that right?"

Davina only nodded, looking at Peter confused who definitely seemed hesitant to continue which only made her more nervous.

"Okay. What your parents were working on- it was top secret, no one knew of it. It wasn't information released to the public."

Turning to look at Gwen again, Davina slowly nodded, "Okay? But that doesn't change the fact that what they were working on was important. Anything they did at Oscorp was important- they got a lot of press for it... so it made sense they were targeted."

"But then why didn't they steal their material? Why was their work left untouched? Why kill your parents?"

Davina didn't say anything. She couldn't. Hearing that word: kill now repeat in her head.

She tried to avoid that word as much as possible meanwhile Gwen was there throwing it out as if it meant nothing.

Gwen seemed to be on a roll though, not even bothering to sugar coat her next statement, "I think Harry killed them."
