The week had been a tiring one for Davina, having to console two boys at the same time.

Harry was distraught because of his father's passing.

Peter was distraught because he was the reason for Harry's father's passing.

The whole thing felt like an ongoing loop but she knew she couldn't fail either of them- not even Peter.

The only free time she did have was at practice. Not a second before, not a second after.

Harry had managed to get some time off of school, having his work sent home which meant Davina spent most of her time at school with Peter.

Peter made sure to drop her off at practice, with Gwen there of course but after it was only them again.

He made sure to drop Gwen off at home but always came back for his 'therapy sessions' as he called it.

Everyone else found it weird that he hung around his ex so much but he didn't care.

He killed a man and she was the only one who could help him- she was the only one who knew.

So they spoke. Mostly he spoke of all the guilt, of everything he was feeling and she listened. She listened the whole way home until he said something she couldn't avoid putting her opinion in.

"And that's why I think I should tell Harry," Peter stated confidently, Davina stopping in her tracks now as turned to face him wide-eyed.

"Are you crazy? If you tell Harry he'll kill you. Like literally kill you. He's grieving right now- don't underestimate him or what he'd do."

Peter sighed now, nodding, "You're right. I know you are but I just..."

Placing a hand on his shoulder, Davina gave him a look, "You'll get through this. I promise. But you can't even think about telling Harry because he will kill you."

"Okay, I get it. He'll kill me."

"Don't sass me, Parker. You know I care about you. I don't want you getting hurt."

Peter only nodded now, Davina giving him a small smile before opening the door to their apartment building and stepping in.

"I'm still surprised Norman didn't tell him though. I mean if anything I'd expect those to be his last dying words." Peter mumbled, that being another thing he was worried about: his secret being revealed.
