By the time graduation had rolled around, everyone was excited to finally be leaving high school... except for Peter who was still mourning his girlfriend.

What sucked even more? That instead of being the valedictorian like Gwen was supposed to be, she was buried at a cemetery missing her high school graduation.

And instead on the stage was a newly healed Davina Anderson who had worked hard in preparing the perfect speech for the class.

She was also one of the many students though who didn't brush off Gwen Stacy's death, instead smiling sadly at the crowd as they waited for her to finish her speech.

"As you all know pretty recently we lost one of our own: Gwendolyn Stacy. Who funnily enough would've been here at my spot giving you all the speech had she still been here."

The crowd grew sad, watching as she fought back her own sadness, "So here to except Gwen Stacy's diploma is her little brother..."

The crowd watched in awe as he came onto the stage taking the diploma, everything else seeming to happen fast after that.

They all applauded the brother who spoke on behalf of the Stacy family and then listened to their names being called one by one before finally it was done

They were all officially graduates and each stood with their own loved ones, getting a handful of congratulations even though they knew school was far from over.

Davina stood with her brother and his girlfriend when she noticed Peter with his aunt May. Seeing how upset he looked, she knew she had to talk to him.

Going over to him, she smiled sadly at him, his aunt May quickly congratulating her before excusing herself to leave the two alone.

"I hate that I'm about to ask this but... how are you doing?"

Laughing bitterly, Peter shook his head, "What do you think Davina?"

She expected that from Peter, anger. It felt just like when his uncle Ben died. But she had just hoped he had enough time to cool off.

"So I included Gwen's part in my speech," Davina said carefully, Peter nodding as a small smile grew on his face thinking of Gwen.

"She got a scholarship to an Oxford program in England... I was going to go to England with her."

"Aw. You were going to leave New York to fend for itself and me all alone by myself to go through all of this?" Davina joked, in hopes to lighten Peter's mood.
