Peter only really spent time at Oscorp when it came to doing a piece for the newspaper he was working for.
So you could imagine his surprise when he was personally called in by Oscorp's newest CEO asking to speak with him.
He was confused but agreed nonetheless, knowing if his editor heard he was turning something like that down he'd kill him, literally.
So that's how Peter found himself where he was today in the lobby at Oscorp waiting for his 'guide' to take him to the CEO's office.
The last time he was here had been with Gwen when everything was going down with Harry and ever since then, Peter hadn't dared step a foot back, at least in all the important areas.
Not only was this the place he had been bitten, where he and Gwen shared many moments, but it was also the place Davina's parents were murdered by his friend.
This place didn't exactly scream memories he wanted to relive- not if he wanted to feel sad.
But he knew he had to come, to at least tell the CEO to back off, whatever it was he wanted.
So he followed the worker with a smile, wanting to be polite like he always was, at least until he met this infamous CEO he had hoped to never meet when he first got the job.
They got to the main office, Peter looking around, seeing it just as he imagined. Just like Norman Osborn's was and Harry's should've been... had he not turned crazy like his father.
But it wasn't like Peter could change that. Instead, he went to take a seat after being offered by the CEO.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Peter Parker. I've heard a lot about you."
Peter resisted the urge to roll his eyes and instead faked another smile, one he felt like he's been using a lot today.
"What can I do you for sir?"
"Right. I can imagine you're quite curious as to why you're here."
"Yeah. And I'd like this to be quick, please. I want to get out of here as soon as possible."
"Oh, you will. You just have to go pay Mr. Osborn a visit."
Peter laughed, thinking of that as a joke but seeing the serious look on the older man's face, he frowned.
"Excuse me?"
He nodded, "Mr. Osborn requested a visit with you Mr. Parker. Says it's urgent."
"Well, I can't imagine you'd care what he'd have to say. I mean I don't even care."
"Yes well he has something we want and if we deliver you to him, he'll comply."
"Of course," Peter mumbled, not sure why he expected more from someone who worked under Oscorp.
