After Davina managed to convince Peter to give her a ride back home as Spider-Man, she had to then convince her best friend she was fine and that she and Peter fixed things.
She couldn't just tell Liz that she found out Peter was Spider-Man and therefore was able to forgive him. Instead, she settled for Peter promised to separate himself from Mary Jane.
He may not have liked the idea at first but it was the only thing she could do since she couldn't tell Liz the truth.
Now she sat on her bed with Peter, him finally getting a break from saving people in the city like he did for her yesterday.
He hated it though, looking at her and seeing the bruise from yesterday on her face.
She may have been able to convince her parents it was nothing but Peter knew the truth, hating that he was the reason in the first place for her being there.
She tried to reassure him that she was fine but he couldn't help but worry as he looked down at her, holding her in silence.
The only noise from Davina's room was their breathing and her tapping on his chest absentmindedly.
He watched her movements, her tracing the spider on his suit, admiring every detail in it.
Peter loved not having to hide it from her. Instead of worrying how he'd explain his escape to go on a mission, he was now able to just tell her straight out Spider-Man had some work to do.
They were both happier now that there were no more secrets between them.
This was a new stage in their relationship and the two couldn't be happier to have made it through all the bumps they've been through.
His uncle Ben was right. Two people that are in love and meant for each other always find their way back to each other, just like him and his aunt May always did.
That comfortable silence was then interrupted by Davina who sighed happily as she looked away from the spider logo and up at him, him already smiling at her as he pulled her closer.
"I can't believe you're Spider-Man," Davina mumbled, looking up at Peter who now continued his motions in drawing patterns on her back.
"I can't believe you recognized me through my voice."
"Well, I'd be a bad girlfriend if I didn't," Davina said teasingly, looking up at Peter who smiled softly down at the brunette.
"No matter what you do you'd be the best girlfriend."
Davina's smile widened as she playfully shoved him, "Now you're just teasing me."
"I would never." Peter mumbled, rubbing her back lovingly as he pulled her close, "From this moment on, you'll get nothing but the truth."
Smiling up at Peter, he returned the smile, leaning down to kiss her softly which she was quick to respond to, cupping his cheek.
They stayed like that for a while, enjoying the feeling of the other's lips on their own.
They only pulled away when they had to, out of breath but still, they had their foreheads leaned against each other with their eyes closed.
Davina soon opened them, pulling away as she looked at Peter again, loving every second of this.
"You could've told me sooner you know. It would've saved me a lot of tears." Davina joked, Peter sighing as his fingers ran across her cheek.
"I'm sorry about that. I should've told you, I know that, but I just..."
"You didn't trust me."
Peter's eyes widened, shaking his head quickly, ready to protest but Davina shook her own head.
"It's fine. A secret like that, it's important. You wouldn't want the wrong person to know."
"But that's just it. You're not the wrong person. You never were. I guess I was just... scared."
"Scared?" Davina asked now intrigued as she got a better look at her boyfriend, sitting up.
He nodded, sitting up a bit himself, "I guess I thought you knowing meant you being in danger, you wanting to help-"
"That is true. I want to be a part of this team Spider-Man. Helping you catch the bad guys."
But Peter shook his head, "I don't want that."
Davina frowned now, looking at him confused as he sighed.
"I don't want you in danger Davina. I mean I've even spoken about this with Mr. Stark. At one point Pepper Potts was targeted because of her relationship with him and I can't- I won't have you in danger because of me."
Smiling now, Davina found herself caressing his cheek as she mumbled, "I love you, Peter Parker."
His eyes grew wide at that, staring at the brunette in shock as she got up from her spot, finding herself on top of him.
"Calm down. You don't have to say it back. I just- thank you. For caring so much about me. Really. But I don't need you to."
Peter went to protest but Davina placed her finger on his lips, stopping him from saying anything.
"I don't. I may have let my guard down last night because I was sad about you. But not anymore. Now that I know this I- Peter we can finally be a real couple. No secrets."
"No secrets." He mumbled in response, Davina smiling as she nodded, moving her hands and instead placing them on his chest.
"Which also means that now I can be a proper girlfriend to the Spider-Man and help him kick ass."
"No." Peter quickly interjected, Davina giving him a look.
"Since when have you ever been able to tell me what to do Peter Parker? Since when has anyone?"
Looking up at his girlfriend, realizing she was right, Peter flipped them over, him now hovering over them as he leaned in close.
"Just- just promise me you'll at least go see Mr. Stark."
"Wait. What? Why?"
Peter brushed her hair back, simply saying, "Mr. Stark has a personal gym with a personal trainer- you'll really love it don't give me that look."
Groaning, Davina threw her head back at the thought of having to train.
Peter took that as his opportunity to leave kisses on her neck, mumbling after each kiss, "For me? Please?"
Davina gave him a look, "Fine. I'll do it."
Smiling proudly now, Peter nodded, "Good... cause I love you too. And I need you to be-"
He was cut off by Davina kissing him, wrapping herself around him as they continued kissing.
He had never felt more complete than he did in that moment.
