[THIS IS ONE OF THE FIRST STORIES I'VE WRITTEN
-please excuse the cringey-ness of this story...]
Davina Anderson had been a mystery to everyone- everyone but him of course.
Peter Parker fell for the brunette as soon as he laid his eyes on...

The next day at school felt like a blur.
Last night's events kept playing in her head on repeat- Connor's voice telling her over and over again that Ben Parker was dead.
The news traveled quickly.
No one really expected Peter to come in after hearing about his uncle but no one really knew what happened.
Davina did.
Connor told her everything he had heard from their mother who spent her morning consoling May instead of going to work.
She spent so much time consoling her that she didn't even realize Peter until he came out of his room and it suddenly hit her that her daughter may want to know what happened.
When Connor told Davina that Ben Parker had been shot, she almost didn't believe it.
Things like that happened around Queens, sure, but never to someone she knew.
Especially not someone she practically grew up with.
The Parkers had been neighbors to the Andersons her whole life and it definitely felt weird knowing there was one less Parker living in the household next door.
When she got to school next day it seemed like nothing had changed, even though everyone heard of the robbery gone wrong in the news.
The only one who seemed the least bit down was Harry who stood by her locker with a frown on his face.
"So you've heard?"
"Of course. I heard yesterday afternoon. Already had a cake sent to them. Ben's favorite... not sure if that helped that much though now that I think about it."
"Hey. At least you care. I've managed to get everything set up for the funeral, although my dad could care less about it at all."
Davina nodded now, almost forgetting about the funeral she'd have to attend. If anything she was scared to face May and Peter, not even being able to imagine the pain they're going through.
They continued speaking about it until whispers stopped them, them looking over wondering what was causing the ruckus when they realized it was Peter who just walked into the school building.
"You talk to him yet?" Harry mumbled, his eyes on Peter as Davina shook her head.
