Months had passed and Davina could finally say she was happy once again.
Sure it had taken some time to get used to but she finally felt at that place where she could finally be herself again even with all the loss she's suffered.
Connor had finally gotten to a right state of mind, everyone signing off on him being released with Jo ecstatic to have the father of her children free.
When she first found out what had happened between him and Davina, she contemplated never seeing him again but he proved himself to both her and Davina.
Davina found herself finally trusting her brother again, being comfortable around him like she once was before everything happened.
The scar had healed greatly, the psychical and mental therapy now done and Davina finally felt like she could be normal again.
And with each day that passed, she found herself slowly but surely getting back to a normal and healthy life.
She was able to go out once again, not going straight home after work, and letting her friends and family in like they so badly wanted to.
In fact, she had even gone out with some friends from her father's job a Friday night.
She no longer panicked about going out at night and felt safe going home alone, not being locked up in her home like she had been before.
She definitely didn't expect to see Peter standing outside of the restaurant she had been eating at with the friends though, her smile growing when she saw him.
"Pete." She called out as she made her way to him, slipping her jean jacket on as she now stood across from him.
"Hey."
"Did you stalk me?" Davina joked, Peter laughing as he shook his head.
"I actually went to visit you at work but they all said you'd be here so..."
"So you came to walk me home like the gentleman you are."
"Just felt like we haven't spent as much time together."
Davina now linked arms with him, the two starting their walk as she smiled softly, "Well I don't need you to protect me all the time now."
"You never needed me to protect you, Davina Anderson. You're quite amazing on your own."
Smiling more, Davina leaned her head on Peter's shoulder, the two walking in silence for a while, enjoying the sights of New York at night.
"So, how have you been Parker?" Davina finally asked, lifting her head from his shoulder to look at him as he smiled softly at her.
"I've been fine."
"Well doesn't that should lovely? How's Mary Jane?"
"Still just my friend. She's actually seeing someone new now."
