Closing the door to her apartment, Davina froze when she noticed Peter standing at his own door, about to go back in but stopping once he called for her.
"Hey," she mumbled, turning to make sure her door was closed before turning again and beginning to make her way to the elevator before he could say anything.
"Davina! Wait!" she heard, making her mentally curse at herself once she realized she stopped automatically without her even really knowing.
It was a curse being a nice person to everyone, even if said person may have hurt her feelings- she couldn't resist.
"What is it Peter?" She asked now turning around once again to face the nervous boy who stood in front of her.
"I uh... I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for what I said to you, how I treated you. It wasn't your fault. It was never your fault. It was mine and-"
"Oh shut up." Davina spat, surprising Peter as he looked at her wide eyes while she crossed her arms, "It wasn't your fault either Peter. It was the universe's fault. For putting him in that spot in that moment. Not me. Not you. So if you want to apologize for blaming me, fine but stop blaming yourself tpp."
Peter could've sworn he fell more in love with her in that moment but instead of professing his love to her, he slowly nodded, "Noted. I uh... does that mean I'm forgiven?"
As much as Davina wanted to continue to distance herself from him, for his sake, she knew she couldn't resist and instead faked a small smile and nodded. "Forgiven."
"Great!" Peter said with a smile now, fixing the strap of his book bag on his shoulder, "So uh maybe we could grab something to eat? I can just put my things inside and-"
"Peter. I'm kind of busy."
It was then Peter noticed her own bag in her hand, her dressed in athletic clothes. Peter should have realized she was heading somewhere being she did leave her apartment.
"Right. I- sorry. I didn't realize."
"It's fine. It's stupid anyway. Liz somehow convinced me to join the soccer team so... yeah I've got to go."
Peter quickly nodded, waving goodbye, Davina waving back slightly before turning around again to head back to the school.
She arrived at school ready to let her frustrations out in the sport, not realizing that Peter had followed her the whole way there and now sat in the bleachers watching it all.
He watched as she effortlessly played the game, laughing along with her friends throughout the practice without a care in the world.
She was a great player which was expected being she was good at everything else. Why wouldn't she be good at soccer?
It was during the break she finally noticed Peter who unfortunately had his camera pointed at her the exact moment she recognized him.
Feeling embarrassed, Peter quickly put the camera down as she made her way over to him, not looking happy at all.
