[THIS IS ONE OF THE FIRST STORIES I'VE WRITTEN
-please excuse the cringey-ness of this story...]
Davina Anderson had been a mystery to everyone- everyone but him of course.
Peter Parker fell for the brunette as soon as he laid his eyes on...

After the little meeting with her brother and Spider-Man Davina felt much better with the whole situation.
But Peter definitely didn't. He saw something in his eyes, something he had never seen before in Connor: darkness.
And he couldn't shake that feeling off, especially not when Davina was so oblivious towards her brother in the first place.
But then again, it was no hidden fact that he was her weak spot. He had always been, ever since they were kids.
Whenever he'd done something he knew he'd get in trouble for, Davina would take the fall instead just to protect her older brother.
Davina wasn't known for having weaknesses but he was definitely one, the only one for that matter.
So it didn't come as a surprise to Peter when she was a smiling mess on their way home together.
He couldn't find it in his heart to tell her that she was wrong, there was definitely something wrong with him.
She had the right idea when she first came to him and Tony, Connor wasn't acting like himself.
So that's why Peter didn't feel too okay with the idea of letting Connor go about just yet.
He felt like he had to watch him, to at least confirm his suspicions or prove that Davina was right.
He had to make sure- especially since Davina was at stake.
That's what he felt like he was doing as he tailed behind Connor for the entire day.
What he didn't expect though was for Connor to end up leading him to Davina.
He watched Connor who watched Davina with Matt, the two holding hands, being the smiling mess others envied, especially the single ones.
They seemed like your average normal couple in love, being so into each other that they didn't even notice Connor trailing behind the two the entire time.
Peter watched from above as he watched them, Peter not able to read his facial expression which worried him more.
Davina was ironically enough gushing to Matt about how happy she was that Connor had gone back to normal.
She got her brother back and so she was radiating happiness, Matt honestly loving every minute of it.
"I mean he apologized and even promised he'd patch things up with Jo and even speak to Tyler who's been just as worried about him and- God, Matty I've never been so relieved."
"So I see." Matt said with a smirk, smiling as he stopped, pulling his fiancé close to him, "I love seeing you this happy."
"I love being this happy." she whispered, leaning in to kiss him softly, Matt kissing back as the two stood to the side of the sidewalk, continuously oblivious to their surroundings.
When they pulled away, Davina nuzzled her nose against his, "I love having two of my favorite men in my life."
"If Connor's anything like me then he'll love having you in his life too," Matt spoke with a smile, pecking her lips quickly before they began their walk again.
Both Connor and Peter followed, Davina sighing happily as she looked at the street ahead of her, "Maybe we can invite him for dinner one night- him and Jo. When they've patched things up, of course."
"Yeah, of course. Make sure it isn't on the day Rob is coming over though. He expects one on one time with me and you."
"God. Who know maid of honors and best men could be so needy." Davina joked, Matt laughing as the two turned a corner.
They continued to walk, everything seeming okay until one little kid saw his idol from far away.
"Look! It's Spider-Man!" he exclaimed, pointing at the sky to grab his mother's attention but Peter was quick to hide.
Everyone on the street including Davina, Matt, and Connor turned to look only to see nothing there but a vacant building.
The kid's mother and bystanders were quick to brush it off but Davina and Connor knew better than that.
Davina wondered if Peter was really following her while Connor wondered the same thing about him.
They both wondered what he would want with them, Davina brushing it off soon after deciding she'd speak with him about it some time.
Connor grew angry though, wanting nothing more than to find this Spider-Man and tell him off but he knew he couldn't risk it- not with Davina getting away.
So he ignored it and followed the two again.
Peter instead took that as a sign to be more careful, this time hiding in more discrete locations as he followed the three.
Connor continued now with a little more security as well after the whole Spider-Man debacle.
He knew that even if he couldn't see him he was surely hiding somewhere continuing to watch him watch his sister.
Davina looked happy from where he stood and she really was, especially with Matt by her side. This was the first time he's seen that smile on her face.
The last time he's seen her that happy was with Peter Parker, before the big break up.
Then he was happy for her but now he couldn't help but envy her happiness, hate whenever she laughed or looked at Matt with that look in her eyes.
He had been struggling to forget his parents for weeks meanwhile here she was not even looking like she'd lost parents in the first place with this new life in front of her.
So he just watched, watched in anger as they entered the house, the two still laughing as the door closed behind them.
He just stood outside of their loft like that, watching, knowing that behind him Spider-Man had finally made his appearance.
"Why'd you follow her?" Peter's disguised deep voice suddenly spoke, Connor smirking a bit as he turned to face the masked hero.
"What? I can't be a protective older, make sure my sister got home safe?" He questioned coyly, Peter just watching him as the two stood in somewhat of a standoff.
"See you later, Spider-Man." with that Connor walked off, whistling, which didn't make Peter feel any better about the situation.
Something was wrong with him and as much as he wanted to believe the protective older brother story, he knew he couldn't.
He may let it rest now but that didn't mean he'd feel any better about it or let his guard completely down like Davina did.
He couldn't risk something happening to her.
