Chapter 20

Me: Jooheon, what are we doing here..?

He looked at me and smiled.

He parked the car and turned off the ignition.

Jooheon: With our schedules and where we live, it's impossible to spend a night together. By night, I don't necessarily think about what you must be thinking now. Just sleep is already perfect.

I found myself imagining me sleeping all snuggled against Jooheon's warm and comforting body in a large comfortable bed and without having to worry about being bothered by anyone. Perhaps it wasn't that bad after all.

Me: You should have great ideas like that more often.

He smiled and got out of the car. I suddenly realized that I hadn't brought anything at all to change, no pajamas for tonight and no clothes for tomorrow. Euw, I would have to wear the same clothes as today.

I got out shortly after and saw Jooheon close the car's trunk with, in his other hand, medium size packsack.

Jooheon: Sorry for not having warned you to get some clothes. I wanted to surprise you.

We went to the reception to get the room key and got into the elevator to the 10th floor.

The room was large and spacious. The white bedspread made you want to lay on it. The lamps lit the room with a deep orange that made the atmosphere more intimate.

Jooheon jumped on the bed and turned on the television.

I see...

I stood there in the middle of the entrance.

Jooheon: What are you doing?

Me: Um... I... I'll take a shower!

I had already taken one before we had dinner, but we're never too clean, right?

I went into the bathroom and was shocked by the lush look of it. I started to take off my clothes when I remembered that I didn't have anything to put on when I would get out.

Jooheon knocked on the door. I quickly put on my shirt and opened.

Jooheon (handing me a T-shirt and boxers): Here. You can do with it for a night, it's okay.

His boxers... Okay.

He closed the door behind him, but I opened it immediately.

Me: Wait! For the bottom.. you don't have any pants I could wear?

He laughed and I felt stupid for asking.

Jooheon: Why would you need pants? You literally go to the beach or to the pool in bikini in front of random strangers, but to walk in panties in front of your boyfriend, ah this, no never.

He had a point. In addition, the T-shirt that he passed me would be too big for me, so it would go down on my thighs.

Me: Okay, okay.

I returned to the bathroom after exchanging a smirk.

It was the first time we would sleep all alone. We already shared a bed two or three times, but there were always people around. Although not new, I felt all the same excitement at the thought of having him for myself only.

I got out of the shower and wiped with the hotel's towels. Then I took the underwear he had gave me. I looked at from all possible angles and finally decided to put it on. Tons of girls wear boxers, why not me? Well okay, they belonged to someone, but it was all the same. I then put the T-shirt that, in fact, stopped almost at my knees.

I cleaned my face and brushed my teeth. Jooheon had often seen me without make-up, it was probably the last thing I was worried about.

I finally got out of the bathroom and found Jooheon, still lying on the bed watching TV. He didn't even look at me. Really, I was taking this way too seriously. I sat beside him. He immediately got up and headed to the place from which I came. I took the TV remote control and went from channel to channel before I stopped on Inkigayo. One day, soon, my group will appear on this show.

Jooheon returned 20 minutes later. He put his dirty clothes in a bag and lied down again at the same place he was. In fact, the evening was like any other. I didn't want to admit it, but I had expected something... different? new? more intense? I let myself fall on my back and came on the soft pillow that would have the wonderful opportunity to be my headrest for the night. Again, I didn't want to admit it, but it seemed like I was hoping for something. That he pays more attention to me? I mean, right now, what was happening on the screen seemed to be much more interesting than this poor girl that I was.

Me: Jooheon?

Jooheon: Hmm?

His eyes were still stuck on the TV screen.

Me: What are we doing tonight?

Jooheon: There's my program that starts in 10 minutes. I saw the trailers and it seems that this episode will be epic.

Me: And then?

Jooheon: I don't know, we'll take a look at other TV shows.

So for him, this evening at the hotel came down to watch TV, ignoring my presence?

Me: We could play a game at least. I have cards in my purse.

Don't ask me why I have cards in my purse.

Jooheon: I don't feel like it.

I took my phone and turned to face the wall, back to him.

I felt him move when his show began. He really seemed to expect a lot from this episode.

Meanwhile, I was playing Candy Crush. This game had me raging so much, but I kept playing anyway. Today wasn't as bad as usual because Jooheon had me raging more.

I put my phone on the bedside table and changed my position. I locked my eyes on the ceiling, my arms crossed on my chest. After 5 minutes of total boredom, I closed my eyes. Without wanting it, Jooheon instantly appeared in my mind. I couldn't help but to imagine us kissing languidly on the bed. I imagined things I had never even thought of before.

I felt someone shaking me. I opened my eyes and saw a perplexed Jooheon,  strangely watching me.

Me: What? Why you looking at me with those eyes?

Jooheon: Nothing. It's just that... Well, I mean... well... I don't know, but...

Me: You know your words are gibberish.

Jooheon: Well, I don't know how to say this. You let out a few groans, a nightmare maybe? I don't know what you were dreaming of, anyway, I decided to wake you up.

I felt embarrassed and wanted to hide under the covers.

But since I was already there...

Me: Hey Jooheon...
