A Beautiful Disaster

Chapter 7

I woke up with a massive headache. I opened my eyes and noticed a blonde, naked girl laying on Rae's side. My eyes widened as I got out of bed, also naked. I put on my baggy shirt and softly went downstairs, finding pieces of clothes on the steps. "What the hell happened?", I said to myself.

Not long after that, I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. "Fuck", I said. "Morning", she said. "Uh, hi", I said. "Last night was amazing", she said kissing my cheek. My eyes widened.

"Sadly, I have to get to work. But uh, I'll happily give you my number. Maybe we could do this again sometime." "Uh, no thanks. I think this was a mistake. You should probably go", I said. "I thought we had a good time", she said. "I didn't." "Well you said something different last night", she said. "I was drunk. You should leave now." "Fine." She collected her clothes on her way upstairs and came back within minutes, fully dressed.

"Bye", she said. "Bye." She walked out.

"Fuck!", I yelled. Tears started to form in my eyes. "This is going to ruin everything", I said to myself. I ran upstairs and pulled the sheets of my bed. I couldn't sleep in my filthy, cheating sheets.

I let myself slide down the wall, sobbing already. "How could I let this happen?", I said to myself.

After a little while I wiped away my tears and grabbed my phone. I needed to hear her voice.

"Hey gorgeous", her soft british voice spoke. "Hey baby", I said softly. "Are you okay?", she asked. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. I just miss you." "I miss you too baby. But I've been away for only 3 days. I won't be back until the 26st. Do you think you can do that?", she asked. "I think so", I said. "Good. I'll facetime you tonight, okay?" "Please", I said. I felt her smile through the phone. "I gotta go now beautiful. I'll see you tonight", she said. And with those words, it felt like she was coming home tonight. But that wouldn't happen for another 18 days.

"I love you", I said. "I love you so much", I added. "I love you too baby. More than you'll ever know." And with that, I hung up.

No, of course I couldn't handle another 18 days without her. But what was I supposed to do? I couldn't ask her to come back. She hadn't seen her family and friends in ages.

I threw my phone away and burried my head in my hands. I had to tell her. I couldn't live with a lie like this.

I got up and quickly threw some new sheets on the bed. My phone vibrated when I wanted to go downstairs. It was a text from Rae. I opened it.

"Open one everytime you miss me", it said. "Open what?", I said confusing. Then I got a bunch of texts. I opened one. It was a picture of her. I instantly started smiling. Her beautiful blue eyes, her cute smile, her perfect lips. My heart skipped a beat at the sight of her. I scrolled down. "Just one!", it said. I smiled. I didn't deserve her.. I needed to tell her. I owed her that.

I cleaned up the mess I've made yesterday and just sat on the couch afterwards. I just stared at the picture she had sent me. "I'm going to miss you..", I said softly.

As the time went by, I got more nervous. Then my phone rang. "Love of my life", it said. This was it.

I grabbed my phone and dried my tears. When I was finally ready to answer, it stopped ringing. And it never rang again.

I rang her back a few times, but no answer.

"What happened?", I texted her. "Something came up baby. I'm sorry. I'll call you later. I love you." I sighed.

Guess I had to live with this a little longer.
