It was the day after court.

Demi got 6 years.. But she could be released earlier with good behaviour.

I got out.

Demi told them what actually happened and that I had nothing to do with it.

I remember the look on her face when they sentenced her.

*Flashback*

"I sentence you to 6 years in prison", the judge said. I looked at her. She looked back at me with the most broken look anyone could ever have. Tears formed in my eyes and I shook my head. "This can't be happening", I whispered.

"Early release is possible with good behaviour. You'll be able to be released after 3 years", the judge added.

Officers walked up to her and cuffed her. She looked at me and shook her head. Tears were coming down her face. I ran up to her.

"Ma'am, step away from the inmate", one of the officers said. "Just a minute, please", I said. He nodded.

I cupped her face and looked into her eyes.

"I'm happy you're out", she said. I shook my head. "I'm not. I needed you to be out. Not me", I said. "I deserve it." I wiped away her tears and kissed her forehead.

"Will you wait for me?", she asked softly. "Of course I'll wait for you. And I'll come visit every single day." A weak smile appeared on her face. "Be strong okay? Don't get yourself in trouble", I said. She nodded. "I love you", she said as she tried to hug me. Her hands were cuffed, which made it hard for her to hold me.

I wrapped my arms around her and grabbed her hands.

"It's going to be alright. I promise", I said. I pecked her lips and watched her get dragged away. Her eyes

*Present day*

I wasn't allowed to see Demi yet. They were transferring her back to america, to a minimum secured facility, since she wasn't a threat to anyone or violent in any way.

I got taken out of my cell and they walked me to the exit where I could pick up my stuff.

I walked out of the building and got in a taxi.

"Could you wait for 10 minutes please?", I asked as we got at the hotel. He nodded. "Thanks." I got out and went up to our room. I grabbed our stuff and checked out.

I got back in the taxi and told the driver to take me to the airport.

We got to the airport and I payed him. I got it and grabbed my stuff from the trunk.

"Hi! Hoe may I help you?", the lady asked when I got to the desk. "Hi. I'd like a ticket to Los Angeles please", I said. She nodded and searched through the computer.

"The first flight is in 3 hours. Is that okay?", she said. I nodded. "That's great. Thank you." I payed for my ticket.

I dropped off my luggage and got myself a sandwich. I hadn't eaten all day. I took a bite as I sat down.

I reached for my phone and dialed Marissa's number.

"Hey Rae! Is everything okay?", she asked. "Yeah I'm good. But it's Demi..", I said. "I know. I saw it on the news." "The news?! Fuck", I said. This wasn't supposed to leak. "Look, I'm coming home. My flight is in 3 hours. Could you pick me up when I land?", I said. "Yes of course! Just let me know when you get here." "Thanks Maris. See you soon", I said. I hung up and finished my sandwich.

I went into the restroom and stood in front of the mirror. I threw some water on my face and leaned on the sink.

"How am I going to survive 6 years, knowing you're in prison, and maybe in danger", I whispered.
I took a deep breath and dried my face.
