Rae dropped the bags and collapsed on the bed. "Finally, some peace", she said. I smiled and layed beside her.

"So what now?", I asked. She faced me. "We just, continue to live our lives", she said. "What if we get caught?" "We won't. But if they find us, we run. We'll keep running until we're safe", she said. I sighed and pecked her lips.

"I'm sorry I involved you in this", I said. "You didn't. I choose to come with you. It was my decision. Just accept that." I smiled. "You're the best."

"It's been a long day. Do you want to grab a bite?", she asked. I nodded. "Just a normal, quiet date", she said smiling. I smiled back at her. "I'd like that." "Good. I'm going to take a quick shower. I feel gross", she said getting up. "Do you mind if I join you?", I asked. She shook her head. "Not at all." I smiled and followed her into the bathroom.

I stepped in and let the water hit my bare skin. "Just like old times", Rae said as she ran her fingers through my hair. I closed my eyes and just enjoyed her touch.
