her head jot down while her hair hovered over her face, hiding that face of a goddess. she kept quiet, silence accompanying the both of us.
i wanted to speak, but i had no idea what i was going to say.
but the silence didn't seem to bother me. i liked her presence just beside me, like the silence was a loud conversation that made me want to stay by her more.
i got curious every minute that passed by, her head still swung low and no sound escaped her lips.
"dahyun-ah..."
"why'd you want me here?" i say coldly, regretting that tone shortly.
she didn't move.
she didn't reply.
she stayed still.
"why are you so cold?" she asks weakly,
i haven't really thought about why i acted so differently towards her.
"because it's the only way to not get your heartbroken."
"pretend you don't have one..." i say, trying not to tremble.
silence filled the atmosphere again.
"you can't allow your heart to not feel anything."
her head shot up, her gaze towards me.
tears flowed down her face.
she looked broken perhaps.
hurt was in her eyes.
i stood up, leaving her confused.
i took tiny steps and walked in front of her, lifting her chin up and observed her face.
without hesitation, i pull her towards me, engulfing her in a hug while she stayed seated and her face cradled on my chest.
she makes me want to fall for her so much more.
i didn't want her to feel what it was like to be hurt.
"stop crying, you look ugly." i joked, giggles escaping my mouth.
she continued to cry, but i comforted her, drawing shapes on her back and patting her hair gently.
"jungkook"
"i'm leaving tomorrow." she cries out,
my eyes bulged widely hearing what she said.
"l-leaving?" i stutter,
"i'm heading back to Australia." she sniffles, slowly getting out of my comfort.
i stood there wondering around, i couldn't look at her properly because i knew i'd cry.
she was already leaving when i was starting to admit what i felt towards her?
life is so cruel.
"y-you're leaving... me?"
she looked at me desperately, a frown planting on her face. she brought her hand on top of my hand and clasped onto it tightly but gently.
"i'll be back."
"then i'll come back and stay here."
"i have to finish what i hadn't done back home."
"will you be willing to wait for me?" she asks.
