Adrien sat down on the dinner table, across from Chloe.
"Adrikins! Tell the chef to hurry! I'm DYING of starvation!" Chloe whined.
"Chloe, I can't keep doing this. First it's the air conditioner, now it's the cooking pace. This needs to stop," he told her solemnly.
"But Adrikins!!! I'm dy-ING!!" She threw her head back and whined.
"No, Chloe. I can't do this anymore," he whispered the last part, his eyes watering.
"Okay then. Sheesh, I didn't think you would cry if I didn't stop whining," Chloe whimpered.
"It's not that. It's all a lie," he hung his head as tears slipped from his eyes.
"What was a lie?" She asked curiously.
It terribly pained Adrien's heart to do this but he had no choice.
"Chloe, I have to divorce you," he told her as straight-faced as he possibly could.
Chloe's look of curiosity and perkiness faded into a look of shock.
"Wh-what?" She stuttered.
"This was an arranged marriage, Chloe. You deserve a good man who will love you and cherish you. I can't do the job. You deserve someone better," he sobbed, rubbing his eyes.
"It's okay, Adrien," she gave a watery smile and picked up one of his hands.
"I understand what you mean. You deserve a sweet girl. I'm off from work tomorrow. Want to make it official then?" She asked him, smiling through her tears.
Adrien hung his head low and sobbed hard. He felt like a monster.
Chloe understood he wanted someone else and she wasn't going to hold him back.
She went on the other side of the booth where he sat and she hugged the sobbing Adrien.
"It's okay, Adrien. You deserve a sweeter girl. I'll be okay," she smiled lightly and placed her hand under his chin. Chloe wiped a few of his tears before getting up to walk herself outside.
Adrien watched as she gave him a small wave and smile as she turned back at him for one last time.
He noticed that when she stepped outside, she started sobbing and shaking.
He wanted to run outside and comfort her, but instead he found himself unable to.
Adrien watched Chloe call a cab, then be driven away.
His heart was completely shattered from hurting Chloe.
He took his chance and ran as far as his legs would take him.
Little did he know, his actions would lead him to finding an amazing girl.
A/N: So Adrien broke up with Chloe.
