"Actually, I'm in hiding," Adrien replied nervously.

"Hiding? What? Wait Adrien, is someone out to get you?" Marinette whispered, concern growing for him.

Adrien thought about how his father would send search parties and police reports to find him.

"If you have nowhere to go, you can always stay with me. I really don't mind! I can fix up the couch for you," Marinette offered kindly.

Adrien felt like he might be taking advantage of Marinette if he did so, but he didn't know of another place to stay. He knew that Nino moved to America a while back and he wouldn't feel comfortable asking any of his previous classmates.

"I wouldn't want to burden you with my troubles, Marinette," Adrien sadly declined.

"It would really be no trouble at all! That's what friends are for," Marinette assured him.

When he heard the word, friends, he felt his heart sink a little, but he was glad to know she considered him close. He recalled how nervous and shy she used to be around him. Now, she seemed to be more outgoing.

He smiled at her and nervously asked, "What's the longest you would be able to have me over?"

"I really don't care. Stay as long as you need! I know that it may take over a year to establish yourself, so don't even worry about the timing. Nobody lives with me so I think it would be nice to have a friend to talk to!" Marinette laughed sweetly.

"Besides, if someone's out to get you, we better move quickly! Here, follow me. Where's your luggage?" Marinette looked back at him, seeing no luggage.

Adrien realized that all he had with him was kid kitten, Plagg. His eyes grew large in the horrific realization that he left his luggage.

"Can you watch Plagg for me? I think I left my luggage over at the train station," Adrien placed Plagg in her free hand.

"Of course," she pulled his kitten to her chest along with hers.

Adrien took off running to the station as fast as he could.

Huffing and out of breath, he looked at the place where he dropped all his luggage, only to find that the spot was empty.

"No... No! This can't be happening!" He panicked, then looked in other places.

"Excuse me, has someone brought you any lost luggage?" Adrien ran to the front desk.

"No, I'm sorry," the lady at the desk yawned, looking at him, then back at her book.

He ran around asking random people, only to find that nobody had seen his lost luggage.

It had everything in there: his credit cards, his phone, his clothes, even his mother's favorite brooch.

He sunk down against the wall hopelessly, knowing that the greatest likelihood was the theft of his belongings.

Without his phone, he couldn't even call the police.

He ran back to Marinette, practically in tears.

"Adrien, is everything okay?" She asked him, still holding both the kittens.

"I think someone stole my luggage. I couldn't find it," his voice nearly broke.

"Let's drop off the kittens at my place, then we can go back and maybe take a better look?" Marinette suggested, hoping to calm him down a little more.

"I asked everyone and looked everywhere. It's nowhere to be seen..." he bit back his lip, holding away his tears.

"Calm down. I'm sure we can find it," Marinette reassured him, putting her hand around his shoulder in a friendly manner.

He nodded, following her into her apartment as she led up the stairs. She opened the door, then put Plagg and Tikki on the floor.

"Is your kitty hungry?" Marinette asked Adrien, pouring cat food into two bowls.

She put them on the floor, causing Tikki and Plagg to quickly trot over to the bowls. They began eating, their tails twitching.

"They'll be okay in here. Let's get searching for your luggage, Adrien," Marinette gently pulled Adrien's arm as she made her way to the front door.

He followed close behind her as she walked on to the street. They found themselves at the front of the train station.

"So, where is the last place you left your luggage before Plagg took off?" Marinette asked him.

"I think it was nearby here," Adrien led her to a bench near the train station.

"Did you throw everything or drop it?" She asked him as she looked under the bench and around the bushes.

"I think I dropped it," Adrien tried to recall.

"So you asked everyone?" Marinette asked, trying to be helpful as she searched around.

"Yeah... Marinette, I don't think we can find it. I can't even call the police without my phone. It had all my information on there! All my credit cards, bank accounts, passwords were in my phone! I lost my clothes, my money, and m-my mother's favorite brooch..." Adrien sat on the bench hopelessly.

"Don't lose hope. We will find it," Marinette tried to assure him.

She pulled out her phone and started to text.

"Marinette, its hopeless anyways," Adrien tried to convince her.

She smirked at him as a car came speeding up the street within moments.

"Get in, Agreste! We're going to the police," Alya rolled down the window, Adrien seeing his reflection in her shiny sunglasses. He hesitantly followed Marinette into Alya's car.
