Mine to Keep

Chapter 16

"Man I told you yo mama was evil but you didn't believe me. You know you can stay here right. For as long as you like." Jahaan said after I told him all that happened.

"Duh I can stay here as long as I like why else would i walk all the way over here.  It wasn't for fun. Now you got some food." I got up and headed to the kitchen.

"I didn't have to let yo bald-head ass stay here," he followed me into the kitchen," I'm really being nice," he said while smiling. 

"Oh don't give me that. I already knew you was gon let me stay wit yo lonely ass." I started to make me a sandwich. then i remembered something.

"What did you mean when you said i wasn't here stop asking?"

He thought for a minute then it finally came to him," oh some dude came looking for you saying he was with the missing persons unit. He came while you where I guess at your parents house."

I stopped making my sandwich, "What was his name,"I said looking over my shoulder. 

"His name was Ian I think. why?" How did he get here so fast? No, how does he know where Jahaan lives?

I turned to face him. "So the name Ian doesn't ring a bell?" He stood there looking lost, waiting for me to explain. "He's the dude that kidnapped me remember?"

The look of recognition hit his face and he walked over to me.

 "Oh him..... I thought.... Wow.... Well it was a good thing you weren't here because i invited him in. i bet he would've smelt you given the fact that you stink. When's the last time you took a shower?" He said holding his nose.

I looked at him with a ' are you for real' face, "well if you've been trying to get away from someone for what 2-3 days without a shower you would smell like this too. Just a couple minutes ago I was all up in yo face and you  didn't say a thing." "yea but that was because i was happy to see you. now I've seen you, so go shower," he said pushing me towards the stairs.

"But what about my food?!"

"Your food will be here when you get back from washing yo ass, OK. Now go."

"Fine. But if i see one bite out of my sandwich, i will hurt you," I said walking up the stairs.

"but who bought the food." "But who made the sandwich."

"But whose food was it that you used to make a sandwich." I stopped walking and looked down the stairs," Does it matter?," i looked at his face," I thought not." 

I walked all the way up the stairs, got a towel out of the closet, and went into the bathroom. I realized I had no music to listen to, so I went back downstairs and looked for Jahaan's phone. I figured he had it so I went to look for him. He was still in the kitchen and was on it playing some game, so I said, "Let me see yo phone."

He looked up from his game and said," Girl yo ass still ain't in the shower?" "Obviously not if i just asked you for your phone to listen to music. You know I get creeped out if nothing is playing while I'm showering. Now give it here," I said holding my hand out.

"Can't you just listen to music on yo own phone." That made me think. Where is my phone?

"I don't know where it is. Just give it here." He rolled his eyes but he still handed me it. "Hurry up, I got stuff to do on there."

I walked away and headed back up the stairs, "Yea, like continuing to lose this level. Yo lives are all gone anyway."

I entered the bathroom and went to his Rihanna playlist and Diamonds came on. i stripped and turned on the water for the shower.  When the water got to the right temperature I stepped in and started to clean myself and wash my hair. When I got out the shower, I started to brush my teeth and finally exited the bathroom.

I went into Jahaan's guest bedroom, well really my room given that a lot of my clothes are in here, and went into the dresser

I got out my underwear and some pajamas. I went downstairs to find him sitting on the couch watching Ride Along 2. I passed him his phone. "Finally I thought you dropped my phone in the shower and electrocuted yourself," he said going back to his game just to see he still had no lives. "Ha ha ha. You're so funny."

I headed into the kitchen to find that my sandwich was gone. "So where is my sandwich Jahaan, because last I checked it was sitting in here on the counter waiting for me." "Well it thought you got electrocuted to so it said and I quote,' Jahaan come smash on me because it seems like Rose isn't going to.' So see I fulfilled its wishes." I gave him a stank face and i guess he felt it because he turned to look at me. "Problem?" he asked. "Hell yeah there's a problem. Now get yo ass in here and make me another sandwich before I throw out yo café helado." Now there's only a couple things he cares about in this world and that is one of them. His freezer is full of them.

"You wouldn't," he said turning all the way around to watch me, pausing the movie. I opened the freezer to pull one out but before i could fully pull it out he slammed the freezer shut, breathing hard. "Out of breath there?" I said smirking at him. He mean mugged me and pushed me out the way to open the refrigerator, pulling out all the things he needed to make my sandwich. 

I walked around him and said," Oh and I don't be stingy with the bread and butter pickles." I went and unpaused the movie right at the part where Kevin was fighting the alligator for his shoe. By the time they got caught by Pope, Jahaan walked in with my sandwich. "Bitch," he said and handed it to me. I kissed his cheek, "thanks bum."

When I tell you i almost died from the first bite because it was that good, I almost died from the first bite. We watched the rest of the movie until we started to get sleepy and decided it was time to go to bed. We headed upstairs and went our separate ways, saying good night to each other. Hopefully, tonight I won't have a nightmare, but just to make sure I don't I headed to Jahaan's room. " I'm going to sleep in here with you." I said knowing there was no point in me asking if I was going to do it anyway. "Alright as long as you don't kick me." I climbed in and I fell asleep listening to his breathing.
