Mine to Keep

Chapter 8

"Oh Rose you weren't supposed to see that. Run. Run, since that's what you've been wanting to do since you got here," he said with blood dripping from his nails and mouth. I took that as an invitation to get the hell out of there. I was going to run as fast as I possibly could to the nearest town and try to get back home.

"But if I catch you, you will pay the consequences for spying on me. I thought we had trust in our relationship, but i guess I was wrong. So now you'll see the monster that I actually am," he yelled after me.

That was my inspiration to run even faster. I had never been so scared in my life and I've seen plenty of shit before. What was going to happen if hem caught me? Was he going to do me like he did the man he was arguing with? Or will I get a lesser punishment if I get caught. Hell, hopefully I didn't.

It felt like I had been running for hours but really it was only for a couple of minutes. I stopped and bent over to take a break hoping that he was going to give me at least a 20 minute head start. I felt a gush of wind and I already knew who it was. I looked up and met his smirking face. "Now about that punishment."

He then sunk his fangs into my neck and I let out a blood curdling scream. It reminded me of the first time he bit me but ten times worse. I could feel myself slowly losing consciousness. He removed his fangs from my neck and said, "Now you are mine and there's nothing you can do about it." Then the world went black...

I woke up drenched in sweat and my neck was throbbing. The dream felt so real. " I need a drink," I whispered. I tried to swing my legs over the side of the bed but something was preventing me. I looked down to see a muscular arm around my waist. I looked over at its owner and saw that it was Ian. He looked so cute, sleeping with his mouth slightly open. I wanted to touch his face but that would probably wake him.

I slowly tried to lift up his arm but that only caused him to tighten it. Ok how about if I try sliding underneath his arm. So I started sliding now the bed inch by inch. I was almost out when I felt myself being pulled up. He pulled me back to where I originally was and put his body on top of mine. I knew he was going to be heavy with his muscles and all, but I didn't think this heavy.

" If you want something why don't you just ask for it. If not quit trying to get away from me and go back to bed," he said gruffly. "I want some water. So are you going to get up and get it for me, or no? I tried to get it myself but a arm of lead was preventing me then a whole body."

He muttered something but got up anyway. He walked out the room and I could hear him go down the stairs. A minute later he returned with a glass of water. "Here you go. Now drink that so I can go back to sleep." "Why do you need me to hurry up so you can go to sleep?"

"One because I don't want you to wake me back up when you get up to put your glass away. And two you're comfortable and snuggly. Now hurry up." Well then. I quickly drank my water and handed him the cup and he left the room. He came back in and crawled up on the bed. He put his heavy body back on mine and closed his eyes. "Now close your eyes and go to bed."

The next thing I heard was his soft snores. His snores were putting me to sleep and my eyes were slowly closing.

I felt something caressing my face, but it stopped once it heard my breathing change. I opened my eyes to find Ian staring at me. "Did you sleep well?" "Yeah you." "I slept better than I ever have. I don't think I can sleep without you ever again. Now hurry up and get dressed because I have something planned for us today."

Well I hope today will be better than yesterday.
