Chapter Thirty One - Escaping.

- A Few Hours Later -

Zuri's P.O.V

Focusing on Vanessa as she sat in bed with her head in both her hands I shook my head completely disappointed.

She was the reason I was in here no matter what she said an' I was ready to beat her ass because of it.

"So you had the baby huh?" I focused on Siyah as she questioned me not once speaking. "Your not talking to me now?"

I kept quiet knowing she was full of bullshit.

There was always one thing Avery taught me, an' that was if you didn't trust the person just keep quiet or plain ol' shut the fuck up.

An' at this point I had no trust in this girl so I kept quiet.

The door to the basement then unexpectedly flew open causing me to look up in a panic.

I focused on Nessa as she focused on me.

"Michael?" As he made his way into the basement followed by Bryson my heart sped up ten times the normal speed, with fear covered against my face.

"How you doing, baby girl." Watching as a small smirk formed against his lips my skin crawled with disgust.

"What is he doing here?" I focused on Bryson. "You know this man?"

"He's my father." B assured me causing both my eyes to widen.

I looked towards Vanessa, who focused on B, who focused on his father, who focused on me.

"What the fuck is going on?" I could feel the lump against my throat as tears built up in my eyes.

I refused to let anyone see me break down - I was becoming stronger an' bettering myself so letting someone who meant nothing to me break me down, was not worth it.

"My son brought you to me." He continued smirking. "I missed you."

I looked away from them all praying Avery would show up.

"I'm a bit hurt about the baby but - Shit happens." He continued. "An' now that your back home with me, I figured we could start our own family."

Standing to my feet as I focused on him I decided on speaking up.

"I would never let you fucking touch me, let alone have a child with you." I knew I'd regret this later but he had to know how I felt inside. "I fucking hate you. From the moment Mama married you I knew she'd made the biggest mistake of her life. You raped me! You took advantage of me for years then took Mama away from me, so fuck you Michael. - FUCK YO--"

His balled fist met my face causing me to fall against the cold floor while holding onto my daughter. As my adrenaline rushed through my body I felt not one pain, but knew I'd feel it later watching as blood from my lips leaked against the tiled floors.

"Chill!" B yelled out calming his father down. "I knew this was all a fucking mistake, I should've never done this shit."

As I sat there on the floor I looked up at them all realizing that I should've been more careful with who I called my friends.
