Chapter Thirteen - Welcome To My Hood.

- The Next Day -

Zuri's P.O.V

Waking up this morning as a smile formed against my lips I sighed a light sigh of relief. I smiled mainly because of being able to wake up beside someone I cared about an' having him to hold onto me as we both slept.

Sitting up a little in bed I watched as he peacefully slept with his head laid against my stomach while holding onto my waist.

Placing a soft kiss against his cheek as his eyes slowly opened I continued smiling.

"Good morning baby." His raspy voice spoke. "Awee, Is the baby still tired?"

I watched as he shook his head yes while laying his head against my chest. I rubbed gently on his hair as he snuggled up against me like the big ol' baby he was.

"Why you up so early?" He questioned.

Picking up my phone I showed him the time, it read 11:45.

"Babe it's almost lunch time." I assured him.

"Damn, we slept that long?"

"Yeahh." I slowly got up from bed making my way into the shower, I was a bit excited we were both finally able to head out today. "Are we going to see your Mama later?"

"We can if you wanna." He replied back from his bedroom.

"Of course I want to." As we both continued our conversation I began stripping down to nothing before hopping into the shower.

After finishing up with my hygiene routine I threw on a white tank, grey joggers an' my all white air forces. Today I decided on being simple but cute.

I then put on a few accessories then did my hair by leaving it out curly before filling my brows an' putting on little to no makeup.

Making it back into the bedroom watching as he stood to his feet all dressed an' ready I smiled to myself.

He was always the one having to wait on my ass to finish up when it comes to us getting ready to start off our day.

Making it on outside an' towards his car I sighed lightly.

"Really Avery? Another car?" This one was a CLA45 AMG Mercedes Benz in a bronze colour.

He lightly chuckled. "You don't like this one?"

He already knew I loved them all.

"Let's go."

We both made it into his car as he took us around showing me his home town - I enjoyed being around him more than expected.

I was already attached but failed to realize it.

"You ready to meet my boys?" He looked my way before going back towards the road.

"I guess so." I spoke nervously.

He took a hold of my hand while driving.

After a few minutes had passed he pulled up into a neighborhood - One that looked as if it had been through a war.

The place was filled with kids an' babies playing outside, women gossiping, men shooting dice an playing cards and there was even a park filled with teenagers. Even some around my age just sitting around doing nothing.
