Avery's P.O.V

Day seven, sleeping on my Gramma's couch as I count down the days of not being able to hear from Zuri I grew angry all of a sudden.

I was fucking done, I was tired, an' I was almost losing it at this point.

The nigga's J an' I sent out to make that big drop to the Mexicans was a success but, unfortunately, money was the least of my problems.

Jordan an' I both landed 3.5 million each an' knew for a fact that the cops were on our ass again.

Turning on my back as I just laid there thinking I all of a sudden felt a sink beside my foot.

"What you doing?" Nicki questioned as she took a seat beside me. "Have you heard from her?"

"Naw." I sighed while rubbing my hands over my face. "She not even tryna hear me out."

"Why?" She questioned confused. "What happened? What did she hear that was so bad?"

"Nothing." I simply responded. "Camille stopped by unexpectedly an' I tried getting the bitch to leave but she wouldn't. Then Zuri called me hearing some female in the background."

"Did you explain what happened to her?"

"Explain what?" I could feel myself becoming angry. "I didn't touch that bitch, for once I'm tryna be a fucking man an' handle what's meant to be handled but Zuri not hearing me out."

"Well, I spoke to her."

I sat up a little wanting to hear her out.

"What she said?" I questioned.

"She's upset."

"Upset with what?"

"Upset that you got bitches coming in an' out of that trap house as they please Avery."

I shook my head a bit disappointed.

"Zuri's her own woman, if she got some shit on her damn mind she should've said something." I honestly spoke. "I'm not into playing these fucking game no more Nicki, I'm tryna be the man I promised her I'd be - I fucking proposed! I asked her for another baby! So why the fuck would I risk it all for some hoe?"

"Come on." Nicki pulled me up from the couch. "Get yo' ass up an' go fix this shit Avery."

"Naw." I pulled away. "Fuck it, she gone fix shit this time cause I ain't did a damn thing."

"You know she's stubborn Ave, you know what she's been through. This is why she acts the way she does, so much has happened to her, an' so many people she loved and trusted fucked her over."

"But I'm not them." I assured Nicki.

"But she doesn't know that Avery, her own mother fucked her over - Go home an' fix this shit, show her stubborn ass how much you love her."
