- Three Years Later | New York City -
Zuri's P.O.V
Laying in bed beside Avery as he slept so peacefully with Zion snuggled up beside him I'd decided on preparing breakfast like I usually did every morning.
Today marked two years since Avery moved me along with his entire family to New York, an' also the birth of our son Zion.
Aasiyah was now four while Zion had just turned two.
Me being twenty three years old with two kids, happily married an' happy, I had finally felt complete. Avery was now twenty six, out of the drug game an' now a proud owner of four five star restaurants, two back in Atlanta an' another two down here in New York.
Being down here was different, but I loved it, I loved the environment we now lived in, especially knowing how close Avery's family became with me.
It was like they were all now apart of me.
Avery an' I had been through it all, from the marriage, to moving, him dropping the drug game an' now him being successful by doing something that was legal an' bettering for the both of us.
We were both living the life we dreamt of.
No drama, no baby Mama's, no hoes - NOTHING.
I was in love with him an' those two beautiful babies he'd blessed me with.
Aasiyah was such a sweet little girl, she was always the shy one, while her little brother Zion was so much like his father. Zion was a sweetheart but I could already tell he would be one smooth young man in the future.
"Mama." I turned while looking down as Siyah called out to me. "I wanna help."
I sent a small smile her way as I stood in the kitchen.
"How about this." I picked her up, allowing her to sit on the island. "How about you just watch Mama as she cooks."
She smiled understanding she was still a little too young to be in the kitchen.
"Okay."
I placed a sweet kiss against her forehead while handing her a box of strawberries.
"Zion's just like daddy." I giggled while talking to her. "Sleeps as much as he can, no matter the time of day."
"Is daddy staying home with us today?" Siyah asked.
"Yeah." I assured her. "Today is family day."
As I began preparing the scrambled eggs an' harsh browns, I decided on pulling out the other ingredients I needed for the bacon, pancakes an' sausage.
"Smells good mommy." Siyah assured me as she chewed on her strawberry.
"Smells more that good." I turned to the deep, smooth voice behind me.
"Your up early." I smiled as he smirked while holding onto Zion.
"Lil' man woke my ass up." He chuckled causing me to laugh.
