Happy New Year 🎉🎉

- The Next Day -

Zuri's P.O.V

Slowly moving as I tried my best to open both my eyes, complete blur filled my vision.

As my head continuously pound an' the beaming light burst through Avery's room, all I could seem to do was groan in pain.

I then fully opened both my eyes noticing my attire - I'd only been wearing my underwear set, nothing more, nothing less.

"Good morning." His smooth voice spoke as I watched him slowly make his way into the room.

"Hey." I simply spoke feeling the urge to bring up what was inside me.

"You feeling better?"

"I feel horr--"

Rushing up from bed an into his bathroom, I quickly hovered over the toilet allowing everything inside me to come out.

"I got you." I could feel his body against mine as he gently held my hair up.

The more I threw up into the toilet, the more my tears escaped. I'd been feeling every sort of emotion at that very moment.

"I'm okay." I softly spoke feeling a tad bit better. "I'm just gonna stay in here to freshen up."

"You sure you gone be alright."

I shook my head in assurance.

"I'll be fine."

Looking up I focused on him as he helped me onto my feet.

"You know, even in the morning your still just as beautiful."

My heart warmed up as he spoke but I grew so stubborn that I learned never to allow someone's words to make them feel as though they have control.

"We have to get Aasiyah from your Gramma's house in a few hours." I decided on changing the topic.

I then watched as a frown formed against his lips while walking away.

"I made you breakfast." His deep voice spoke while closing the door behind me.

Turning towards the shower while lightly sighing, I slowly undressed myself before making it on inside.

"What do I do?" I whispered while allowing the warmth of the water to massage my body.

As I just sat there gathering my thoughts all I could seem to do was cry, I honestly would've rather just screaming due to the amount of anger I had built up in me but I let my tears out instead.

After what seemed like hours of me being in the shower I'd finally made it out, doing my normal hygiene then throwing on something a bit more comfortable.

I then slowly made it on downstairs taking in the delicious smell of breakfast.

"I left your plate on the island." He simply spoke watching as I made it further into the kitchen.

"Thank you." I made my way over looking at what he'd prepared. "Looks good."

A small smile formed against his lips.

"Gramma asked if she'd be able to watch Siyah again for the day?"

"She sure she wanna do that? I laughed a little for the first time since being here.
