Chapter Forty One - Date Night.

- Later That Night -

Avery's P.O.V

"What you doing?" Watching as Zuri just laid in bed I decided on joining her.

"Thinking." She simply spoke. "Of how much I missed us being a family."

I watched as she slowly turned facing me, then gently placing her head against my chest.

"I'm sorry for the way I acted earlier."

"That's coo-"

"Let me finish." She focused on me. "An' I forgive you."

Watching as she lightly sighed I placed my lips against her forehead.

"I love you." I assured her.

"I love you more." She spoke sincerely.

Becoming more an' more comfortable as she laid against me while allowing me to hold onto her all I could seem to do was smile.

Even though shit was moving slower than I wanted it to, I was happy she'd finally forgiven me.

"Let me take you out to dinner tonight."

Tonight, I wanted her to feel like the queen she was.

"Dinner?" She questioned. "I don't know Avery, don't you think it'll be too late to book reservations at this time of night?"

"Naw." I quickly assured her. "I got connects."

I listened as she sighed lightly smiling a little.

"I'll go."

"Tonight?" I questioned for reassurance.

"Yeah." She lightly giggled.

"Iight." I made it up from bed playing everything cool but felt like a kid all excited an' shit deep down inside. "I made you a bubble bath, an got you a little something special - You'll get it after dinner." 

I watched as she slowly made it up from bed.

"Thank you." She placed a soft kiss against my lips before quietly walking away.

Making it out the room an down the stairs I quickly stopped in my tracks.

Was I really about to let this opportunity go to waist? I questioned.

"Naw."

I turned back around heading into our bedroom.

Quietly making it towards the bathroom, I opened the door listening as her sweet voice sang throughout the room.

Everything she did came off perfect to me - From the way she'd shyly smile to the way she always same to bite onto her lip when nervous.

"Avery?" The sound of her voice brought me out of my thoughts. "Is that you?"

Quickly taking off all my clothes I made it into the tub without speaking.
