Chapter 3.

Frantically looking around the room my eyes landed on a sleeping Alpha Cooper. He was snoring, and his long lashes just brushed his cheeks. His entire body was across a leather sofa and even his feet were dangling off the other end because of his height.

That's our mate. My wolf smiled proudly and I couldn't help but feel the same. Alpha Cooper was very handsome and attractive, I would've been weird if I said I wasn't attracted to him.

Trying to sit up I let out a whimper when my back collided with the backrest. With my hiss of pain I knew he would've woken up from the noise. My thoughts were correct when he stirred in his sleep and opened his aquamarine eyes. When our eyes connected a grin plastered on his face as he sat up.

"Celia-" he trailed off but I spoke before he could continue.

"Are you" I paused to collect my thoughts. "Are you my..."

"Mate?" He finished for me and nodded his head. "Yes."

Fear welled up in my body and I felt my wolf worry the same thing. We're from rival packs, and I'm an Omega. I'm weak and fragile and with an Alpha as a mate, he can easily hurt me without trying to. What better way to avoid getting hurt than to do the unthinkable.

"Are you going to reject me?" I asked hesitantly. Alpha Coopers eyes instantly went black and he growled.

"No!" He barked making me jump. "Why would you think I would do such a thing?"

Only a male werewolf can reject this other half. It generally works with a man telling his mate he is rejecting him and the reason why. This then results in the bond being split, and the two remaining mate-less for life. They can never reconnect the ties once they've been broken. Many packs don't allow the act to be committed, minus my old one of course.

I tried to piece my words together but I didn't get to speak when he was sitting not far from me in a millisecond. He was seated on the bed now only two feet away from me. Before I could ask, he took my small cold hand in his large warm one. Sparks erupted along my skin making me shiver in pleasure and comfort. My wolf yipped in happiness and began calling out for me to mate him. Ignoring the urge I pulled my hand away quickly.

Alpha Cooper showed no emotion but I could tell that would've hurt him. I knew he was curious as to why I moved away from him, but I didn't know what else to do. I was brought up differently than him and slightly feared him. Main reason because he was an Alpha, and I've had bad experiences with them.

"I'm sorry I just-"

"How old are you?" He asked out of the blue and I looked directly into his inviting eyes.

"What?"

He rolled his eyes at me. That little gesture for some strange reason got me mad. "How old are you, Celia?" When my name flew off his tongue I couldn't help but shiver at the way he said it. My name sounded so much better coming from his inviting lips.

Realizing he was waiting for an answer I snapped out of my little ogling and answered. "Nineteen."

Alpha Cooper paused before speaking. "Twenty two." I guess that was his age since he didn't exactly clarify it. "You should wash up, I can send up my mother to help you. Unless you want me to..."

A blush tried to creep up on my face but I tried to hide it. "Um...your mother would be nice, but I think I'll be fine on my own."

Alpha Cooper paused and I could only guess he was mind-chatting with his mother. "She'll be here soon, let me know if you need anything."
