Chapter Three

[Kayden's POV]

"I hate you..." Fia faintly said when she recovered from her trance.

I guess her emotion had died down. Medyo kalmado na ang paghinga niya. She took a swig of the water that she pulled out from the fridge at naupo sa kaharap kong sofa.

"Careful, babe. You might end up liking me," I retorted with a grin.

Thankfully, my boner showed some mercy on me too. I should probably get this buddy to good use later. Probably with Ally. My flavor of the month.

"Why are you smiling? Hindi kana nakakatuwa, ha!Unggoy ka talaga! At anong sabi mo? Ikaw magugustuhan ko? Kahit na ikaw nalang siguro ang nag-iisang lalaki sa mundo ay hinding hindi kita papatulan. Mas gugustuhin ko nalang na mamatay kesa ang makita iyang nakakairitang pagmumukha mo!"

I wasn't able to help myself but laughed out loud. Wala parin siyang pinagbago. Wala pa nga akong ginagawa pero galit na siya. Maybe she had become so protective of herself towards me dahil sa mga nagawa ko sa kanya noon. Believe me, I'm not as prick as this to others. Sa kanya lang. Ang sarap lang kasi niyang asarin. Lalo na kapag naniningkit na ang mga bilugan niyang mata sa inis.

"Huwag mo akong tawanan! Akin na iyang camera at cellphone ko!" sabi niyang nanggigil na naman sa inis.

"Only if you will ask me nicely," I teased.

"Ugh! Nakakainis ka talaga!" Dinampot niya ang kaninang baso na ininuman, akmang itatapon sa'kin pero hindi niya ginawa.

Damn, why can't I let this pass? I should give this poor woman a break. Pero hindi ko magawa. Simula kasi nung nawala siya ay wala na akong napagtripan. Hindi ko naman matukso tukso si Cassy dahil mas temperamental pa iyon kay mommy. Siguradong bugbog ang aabutin ko sa kapatid kong yun. But with Fia, I'm safe. She wasn't capable of hurting anyone. I could probably sit here all day and tease her while she rants her nasty banters at me without me being hurt. Naalala kong umiiyak lang siya noon kapagka asar na asar na siya.

I was suddenly brought back to my senses when we both heard a ring. Her phone. Nagkatitigan kami.

"Nooooooo!" she stood up and ran up to me but I was quick to grab the phone. It was her mother calling. I mindlessly swiped the screen to answer it.

"Kayden, ikaw pa rin ba 'to?" asked her mother. Pinindot ko ang loudspeaker para marinig ni Fia. She just stood there not too close in front of me, giving me a death glare.

"Yeah Tita, but I'm at your house right now. Isusuli ko na po sana 'tong phone. Nasa kwarto pa po kasi si Fia. Nagbibihis...Oh, there she is..." I said and she immediately snatched the phone from my hand.

"Ma-a?! Na-patawag ka?" she stuttered.

Nagpigil akong tumawa. I couldn't wait to see her reaction once she finds out the things that I told her mother.

"Ha? Ah eh..uhm kasi...Mom..."

God, but Fia's face was too pricey. I actually came here to give back her phone, but not the camera. She had to learn her lesson first.

After all, what she did was crazy.

[Fia's POV]

"Anak, I called your office. Nagresign kana raw? Why did you do that?"

"Ha? Ah eh..uhm kasi...Mom..." Arrgh, sinong walanghiyang nagsabing nag resign na ako? I just took a leave for heaven's sake!

"Kayden told me that you went up to him daw para humingi ng tulong kung pa'no magmanage ng restaurant. He said he owns a resto at gusto mo raw magtrabaho sa kanya. " Napabuntong hininga si mommy."You should have told me na plano mo palang magpaturo sa pagma-manage, anak. Tsaka, bakit ba hindi ka nagsabing uuwi ka pala ng Pilipinas?"
