"Call if something happens," I say.
"I will," Marlee replies.
I hug both of the kids, never wanting to let go.
Maxon and I are finally going to the orphanage today. We're going to spend time with the kids and donate money. We're also going to an abandoned historical building not to far away.
We give hugs and kisses to Ahren and Eadlyn then leave.

"Thank you so much for doing this," Caitlin, the woman running the orphanage, says gratefully.
"It's our pleasure. We've wanted to come and help for a long time. I'm glad we finally have a chance to see and help them," I say.
"That's amazing. I can't thank you enough."
"Where are the kids?" Maxon asks.
"They are eating now."
"Can we sit with them?" Maxon requests.
"Please. Follow me."
We follow her to the dining room that has two cafeteria tables full of kids. They're all eating and talking.
Caitlin rings a bell and they all look at her.
"Listen up. This is Queen American and King Maxon. They're here to help you today. Please give them the respect they deserve. You may eat."
They continue eating but only a few talk.
Maxon sits by a group of boys. I spot a little girl who seems to be left out of the group of girls around her. She looks at me as well as the other girls.
"Hi," I say to her.
"Hi," she squeaks back.
"What's your name?"
"Missy."
"That's a pretty name. I'm America."
"You're really pretty," she says quietly while blushing.
"Thank you. So are you."
"You're a queen?"
"Yep."
"What's it like?"
"Well. I get wear pretty dresses, go to balls, I get to help lots of people like you, and I do my best to protect all of you."
"Wow."
"I know right."
I talk to her and the other girls for awhile. Maxon does the same with the boys. After they eat we play some games then tell them we're getting them new clothes and toys. We also said they'll get new blankets and more food. They were so happy. It makes me feel good to know I helped them feel that way. We received lots of hugs and thank yous. After saying bye to the kids, we leave.

The old building was beautiful. It's sad that it was abandoned and falling apart. I would've loved to live in a place like that.
Ahren and Eadlyn are very happy we're home. They missed us just like we missed them. We told them about the orphans and showed them pictures. They were surprised that kids are abandoned and without parents. They thought every kid has loving parents like they do. I'm not sure they fully understand yet, or will ever remember this, but it's an important thing to realize not everyone is living happily. That some people have almost nothing. The some kids have no one to love them. It's awful. But nothing will change that.
"You ok?" Maxon asks.
"Fine. Just thinking," I reply. Snuggling closer to him.
"Alright. Good night. I love you," he says, turning off his light."
"Night. I love you too."
