We hop over the fence in front of the railroad tracks. We sneak in through the back door armed and ready. I hear a woman going over the whole Terminus saying. Joe had an old radio and this was the same exact voice that came through. It was bright inside with tables surrounding the area. People were doing their normal thing ignoring that we were inside. Either that or we were too good at sneaking.
"Hello. Hello." Rick repeats. Everyone turns to look at us. He gets quiet. One of the guys stands up and walks towards us.
"Well, I bet Albert is on perimeter watch. You here to rob us?" They were too calm to be talking about being robbed. Then again they had more people then we did.
"No. We wanted to see you before you saw us." Rick states.
"Makes sense. Usually we do this where the tracks meet. Ahem. Welcome to Terminus. I'm Gareth. Looks like you've been on the road for a good bit." No duh. We look like shit.
"We have."
"Rick. That's Carl, Daryl, Harley and Michonne." Rick points to each of us as I narrow my eyes at Gareth.
"You're nervous. I get it. We were all the same way. We came here for sanctuary. That what you're here for?" The Gareth guy ask.
"Yes."
"Good. You found it. Hey, Alex. This isn't as pretty as the front. We got nothing to hide, but welcome wagon is a whole lot nicer. Alex will take you, ask you a few questions. Uh, but first, we need to see everyone's weapons.
If you could just lay them down in front of you." I look at Daryl who looks at Rick."All right." Rick pulls his gun out and puts it on the ground we all follow what he does.
"I'm sure you understand." Gareth say. After taking my gun out I place my hunting knife right next to it. Alex pats Michonne down.
"Yes, I do." Rick says. Alex pats me down then moving onto Daryl.
"I'd hate to see the other guy." As if they knew.
"You would." Rick says. The Alex guy moves down to Carl.
"They deserve it?"
"Yes." Carl says proudly. Finally patting down Rick.
"Just so you know, we aren't those kind of people, but we aren't stupid either. And you shouldn't be stupid enough to try anything stupid. As long as everyone's clear on that, we shouldn't have any problems. Just solutions. Okay." Gareth walks away as the Alex hands us back our weapons.
"Follow me." We follow them out the door I look around.
"So how long's this place been here?" Daryl asked.
"Since almost the start. When all the camps got overrun, people started finding this place. I think it was instinct, you know? Follow a path.
Some folks were heading to the coast, others others out west or up north, but they all wound up here." I stopped where I was walking. I don't trust these people. Something was off about this place but I couldn't place my finger on it. Carl and Michonne walk up to a lady that was cooking food on the grill. Looks like meat. It had a weird smell to it."Hi. Heard you came in the back door.
Smart. You'll fit right in here." The woman spoke. Daryl finally noticing I was way behind them, looks back and walks over to me."Hey what's wrong?" He clasp a hand on my shoulder that shakes me out of my thoughts.
"Something isn't right here." I shook my head. Daryl looks around.
"Hey, Mary, would you fix each of these new folks a plate for me?" Alex ask.
"Why do you do it? Why do you let people in?" Michonne ask.
"The more people become a part of us, we get stronger. That's why we put up the signs, invite people in. It's how we survive. Here." The Alex guy hands a plate of meat to Carl and Michonne. Rick walks past all of us slamming the plates that Michonne and Carl had to the floor as he takes his gun out and sticks it to Alex's head. We all take our weapons out and aim it at the Terminus people.
"Where the hell did you get this watch?" The Alex guy doesn't speak but the Terminus people pull out guns aiming them at us.
"Where the hell did you get this watch?" Rick ask. I aim my gun at the sniper. This place has a weird set up.
"You want answers? You want anything else? You get 'em when you put down the gun." Alex says.
"I see your man on the roof with a sniper rifle. How good's his aim?" Rick ask.
"Where'd you get the watch? Where'd you get the watch?!" Rick repeats.
"Don't do anything! I have this! You just put it down. You put it down!" The sniper guy puts the rifle down.
"You want to listen to me. There's a lot of us." Alex tries to scare us off.
"Where did you get the watch?" Rick asked for the millionth time.
"I got it off of a dead one. I didn't think he'd need it." Alex finally answers his question.
"What about the riot gear? The poncho?" Rick points out the people wearing it.
"Got the riot gear off a dead cop.
Found the poncho on a clothesline." Gareth comes out of nowhere."Gareth, we can wait." Alex stutters.
"Shut up, Alex." Gareth says calmly. He's been through this before.
"You talk to me." Rick says.
"What's there left to say? You don't trust us anymore."
"Gareth. Gareth, please." Alex squirms.
"It's okay. It's okay. Rick, what do you want?" Gareth ask.
"Where are our people?" So their people are here?
"You didn't answer the question." The woman steps behind that from the meat counter as I aim my gun to her and got shot in my side. The pain spreads all over.
"Go, go! - Hey! Carl! Get down, now! Go!" Rick yells. We run around Terminus trying to find a safe place. Trying to get out of here. We run into a building as they shut the doors on us.
"Come on! Come on! Here!" Daryl calls for us. We run out the door into another room. We end up outside as a sniper rifle guy starts shooting at our feet again. We head toward another building.
"Come on, this way." Daryl yells. The sniper guy shoots toward him.
"Daryl!" I aim my guy at the sniper and shot him. Another guy picks up the rifle and shoots.
"Shit." I mumble.
"What the hell?" Daryl asked. In the freight car area there were people screaming help and let us out.
"Keep going." Rick yells. We head into a building. It was a dark room filled with candles.
