The start

Carl and Enid

I walk around Alexandria keeping an eye on things. Michonne, Tara and Rosita were on watch on the walls. I went to check on each of them.

"Hows it looking, Rosita?" I ask her as she sits on the wall with her feet dangling on the outside.

"Not so bad." She nods her head.

"Alright, holler if you need me." I head over to Tara's guard post and see her talking to Glenn.

"Tara, everything good?" I ask her. She looks down at me and gives me a thumbs up.

"So far so good." She says. Glenn climbs down and catches up to me as I head over to Michonne.

"So Mrs. Dixon, how does it feel?" Glenn elbows me playfully.

"He only proposed." I rolled my eyes. Glenn gasped in shock.

"I'm so telling Maggie. She is gonna plan out the wedding and everything." Glenn says sarcastically but it was true. Once Maggie finds out that there was no wedding, she will be planning out every detail to the max.

"Tell her then. Better yet lets get father Gabriel the lying bastard who tried to kill us marry Daryl and I." I say and spread a fake smile across my face as Glenn laughs.

"You got me." He breaths out.

"Judith could be the flower girl." I gasped. Glenn laughs even more as I laugh myself.

"Then Carl can be the ring bear, Jay would be the maid of honor, bridesmaids already picked out." Glenn says as we get to Michonne's guard post.

"I'm cool with that. Looks like Maggie doesn't even have to plan. You've already planned it all out." I sighed.

"Shh, don't say that. She will beat me up. We gotta let her plan it." Glenn looks around for any sign of Maggie.

"Has she gotten to that point in her pregnancy?" I ask him as Michonne comes down.

"What point?" He asked.

"The point where she hits every chance she gets and blames you for everything even if its not your fault." I say evenly.

"Yes." Glenn says without hesitation then laughs.

"I swear, your child is going to be amazing. A mini you and Maggie." I shake my head and smile.

"Its gonna be great. I'm heading over to check on her. See ya around." Glenn waves me off as I face Michonne.

"Spencer went out into the woods."

"Eugene let him out?" I asked. That's not like Spencer. He has been awfully quiet since we had our walker incident. Then again he did lose all of his blood family. Aidan, Reg and now Deanna.

"Can't tell if he came from the gate or if he climbed the wall." She says.

"He could have. I've seen Enid do it almost everyday. I need to talk to her about it but she wont listen.
Anyway, if you want I can take your watch as you follow him and see what he is up too." Michonne nods her head to walk away but I stop her.

"Hey, tell Eugene to take Tara's post in two hours and heath to take over for Rosita. If you run into Holly can you tell her to come to this post. Sasha should be on gate duty for now until I get back." I tell her.

"I'll pass it on." She nods her head and continues walking. I climb up the guard post and look out beyond the wall. Not so bad of a view full over walkers.

A good hour past as Holly comes walking up to the guard post. I trade spots with her and head over to the gate. It was open as Sasha was shooting some Walkers that were stuck on our stakes in front of the gate. Carl and Enid walk through the gate. Sasha comes back inside and shuts the gate.

"Carl and Enid." I call after the two children. Jay comes running up with her sniper.

"Jay, you take gate duty for Sasha she's been there for a while." She nods her head hugs Carl. She then smiles and walks over to Sasha. I look over at Carl and Enid as they come over to me. Enid stares at Jay with hate in her eyes. My girl is one smart cookie.

"You two." I point at Enid and Carl.

"You guys can't keep going out there. Not with out telling someone. Carl, you of all people know that." Carl looks down at the ground and nods his head.

"Rick set up a system where if you are going out you tell me. I've already got two people out. Your dad and Daryl are out on a run. I don't need to send Abraham, Sasha or Glenn after you two." I look at them sternly. I know they can take care of themselves but this is how it works now.

"Why does it matter?" Enid narrows her eyes at me.

"Because it does. So when we lock the gate up we know who is still out there. Who we look for to let in. Instead of guessing if that's you or just another walker." I tell her. Don't get smart with me.

"That's why you look out for us." She says. I look at Carl and Judge him. He would rather hangout with her instead of Jay? His eyes stayed glued to the ground.

"How would I know to look for you if I didn't know you even left? From experience every walking thing that comes up to those gates I look at for a quick second then shoot. I don't wait more than a second." I didn't know if that made sense to her but it did to me.

"Ok." She rolls her eyes.

"We good?" I look at Carl.

"Were good." He looks up at me. Enid walks off.

"Alright, you get something to eat its almost dinner time. Gabriel has Judith." I smile at him.

"Thanks Harley." He says. He went to walk away as I turn to head for the gate.

"I mean thanks Mrs. Dixon." He says.

I turned to face Carl as he waves his heads and heads for the church. Oh well. I walk up to the gate as Jay shots the walkers that were getting to close to the gate. Rick couldn't have told her about Daryl and I. She was sleeping this morning. But someone else could have.
