..................

As niall and I sit in his room and attempt to teach chance how to sit, the music from Harry's room, under us, is

So loud that the room is slightly vibrating.

Niall stomps on the floor.

"Turn it the fuck down!" He shouts.

The music stays at it current level.

"Does Harry have to ruin everything?" Niall grumbles.

"Ni it's fine. Why don't we go take Chance on a walk?" I suggest.

"It's snowing."

"So?" I answer stubbornly.

"Fine." He gives in.

Niall grabs one if his huge jumpers and throws it at me.

"Wear that."

I roll my eyes and slip it on, not wanting to argue.

Niall grabs my hand and drags me out of his room.

"What about Chance?" I ask confused as to why he left our dog in his room.

"Cause I'm taking the dog for a walk."

"Are you implying that I'm a bitch?" I ask.

"Precisely." Niall smirks and holds my hand as we walk out into the snow.

We walk, holding hands, down the streets of our small college town.

We look through small art galleries, and shops.

The whole time it snows lightly.

We come across a small park and Niall walks me over to a bench.

The snowflakes that gently land on his long eyelashes sparkle in the street lamp light.

He notices me staring and grins.

"What?"

Dear lord he is beautiful.

Then his smile suddenly fades.

"No I'm not."

I said that out loud?

"Yes you are Ni. Stop denying it." I say stepping closer and hug him.

Why doesn't he believe me?

I hide my face in his chest and listen to the thumps of his heart.

He pets down my hair and presses his lips to my scalp.

"I'm anything but." He whispers.

I don't think I was supposed to hear that so I don't respond.

"Tober, it's gettin' a bit chilly. Let's go."

He says.

I nod and we make our way back to the fraternity.

Niall

..............

I'm not beautiful. Why does she not see that?

If only she knew what I've done. Who I was. Who I still am.

But she'll never know that Niall. I won't let her ever find out. She can't.

The past is the past. And that's where it should stay.
