"Zayn is 5 years old and his brother Liam is 4 years old we think, so they are both traumatised from their old homes, both still in nappies, neither talking, Liam is breastfed and you have to make sure that Zayn is always wearing his hearing aids" the women at the adoption centre told the two men
"Ok, how traumatised is traumatised" the older man, Louis, asked
"Neither are speaking and are frightened by almost everything, Liam is clingy as is Zayn, they cry a lot and maybe for the first few months keep them in the same room as you for sleeping and naps, both have been abused since they were born" She explained handing the men photos of the two little boys they were adopting
"Is there anything else we should know?" Louis asked stroking his husbands hand gently in soothing manner
"Liam isn't really Zayn's brother but they were both found together in Ireland so we think that the person abusing them was the same person, also both these boys will need to have a car seat as they are very small" the women said
"Ireland, wow they have come a long way" Niall said seeing as they now lived in Texas with Louis's step-brother Harry who was a famous boxer
"This is Liam and Zayn, they are currently a bit scared but you are welcome to take them home now" the women said as the two boys walked slowly towards the men that were to be their parents
"Hi mister, I'm Zayn" the oldest said with dark brown eyes
"Hi Zayn, I'm Niall and this is my husband Louis, who is the little man beside you?" Niall asked gently as not to scare the youngest any more
"That Liam, he a little scared" Zayn said feeling quite comfortable with the two men
"Right shall we get home?" Louis asked softly
"Yea, can you carry me please?" Zayn asked making grabby gestures to Louis
"Of course honey, Liam darling do you want Niall to carry you to the car?" Louis asked the shaking boy
"I, er, yes please sir" Liam whispered
"Not sir, Niall or daddy ok?" Niall whispered to the little boy as he gently picked him up
"Zayn do you have your hearing aids?" Louis asked
"Yes mummy, I also have a spare pair just in case these brake" Zayn said resting his head on Louis's shoulder
"You boys can go into your headspace if you want to" Louis said as the family of four walked towards the family car which was a blue range rover that Harry had bought his step-brother just for raising the family he had always wanted

"Daddy has a sports car" Zayn giggled
"Yea baby, will you be able to strap yourself into your car seat?" Louis asked putting Zayn into his car seat
