"I just want to train with everyone else, why must I be singled out?" Jake asked as he and the other new boys walked through to the back where Leo was waiting for them still wiping blood off of his face

"Because all new people who have been here for less than 8 months train with me" Leo said as he spat blood into the spit bucket 

"Oh ok" Jake said 

"It isn't to single you out trust me, I see potential in you and I want to make sure you get into the ring for fighting" Leo said going up to Jake and patting his back

"You promise that I will be allowed to fight?" Jake whispered as he got his gloves on

"I promise, I will talk to Darren after this lesson ok" Leo said as he helped Jake tie his gloves on

"Thanks, also you have blood dripping down your face, like pouring down" Jake said as he looked at Leo's face 

"Fuck sake, why won't it stop, you know what everyone but Jake go and train with Darren please" Leo whispered as he untied Jake's gloves quickly who instantly got a tissue and started to wipe the whimpering boys face 

"I know it hurts, calm down babe" Jake said as he sat the boy on the edge of the ring and continued to wipe the whimpering boys face 

"Jake stop please it hurts too much" Leo whimpered trying to push Jakes hand away 

"I know it does, but we have to get it to stop bleeding" Jake said just as Catherine walked in with rubbing alcohol 

"No, please not the rubbing stuff, it burns so badly, no please" Leo cried as Cathrine handed it over to Jake before sitting next to the crying boy 

"It's ok Leo, trust Jake, he won't hurt you" Catherine said as she rubbed the shaking boys back

"I promise you, I will never hurt you" Jake said taking Leo's hands 

"Ok, be gentle though" Leo whispered holding onto one of Jakes hand tightly as he continued to wipe the alcohol and clean the crying boys face

"I'll take a break for two minutes, come give me a cuddle for a little while" Jake said opening his arms and instantly the small child ran towards Jake's arms still crying heavily 

"It hurts, I have nowhere to live" Leo cried making Jake hug him closer as if to protective him

"You can live with me and my dad, he won't mind, he loves you" Jake said noticing the time was the end of the lesson

"Really, thank you so much Jake" Leo cried as Jake stood up and walked towards where their bags were always kept 

"Darren, me and Leo are going to go home, he's going to stay with me" Jake said walking past Darren

"Ok, call me if you need any more help" Darren said kissing Leo's forehead before allowing the boy to walk out to where his dad was waiting for him 

"Oh Leo, what happened?" Kirk fretted as he saw the state of his favourite boy 

"His dad beat him up, and then kicked him out, is he alright to stay with us?" Jake said placing Leo in the car

"Of course, I love him like a son" Kirk said
