Why am I different?

Niall knew that his twin brother Liam was different. He'd known since the boy was 4 when Liam never went to kindergarten with him, nor did the boy talk or look at anyone in the eye. He couldn't walk, well he was better now but before he couldn't. The differences became more obvious when the twins hit 16 years old, Liam hated to be without Niall or his special 'blanky' and his 'paci'. 

The twins were now 17 and Liam was dependent on his older brother by 3 minutes. Niall didn't mind as he loved his brother more than anything but it was all about to change as Niall had decided to go for XFactor meaning he would maybe have to leave his little brother behind with his judgemental parents, who had not even talked to the boy from the age of 3 when Liam was diagnosed with separation anxiety and Autism. 

"Liam darling, come on we need to get going" Niall said softly stroking his brothers face gently

"No bubby, want sweep" Liam whispered stuffing his face into the pillow

"No Li, we have to leave" Niall said picking the small child up and placing him on his hip

"Hi bubby" Liam smiled from behind his dummy

"Hey darling, what do you want to wear today?" Niall asked walking towards the wardrobe 

"Jeans with tractor on it" Liam said pointnig at the dungerees that Niall had bought him for his birthday three years ago

"Yea, and what t-shirt baby?" Niall asked getting the dungerees down

"You choose" Liam said as he yawned, his dummy falling out making him whimper 

"What about this one?" Niall said holding up Liam's newest shirt which was red and blue striped 

"Yea, nappy?" Liam asked as Niall bent down to pick his dummy up

"Of course my love, we have a long drive ahead of us" Niall said laying Liam down and tapping a nappy around his small waist 

"Why?" Liam asked as he fiddled with his special green blanky 

"Remember bubby is singing today" Niall said picking the small child up nad placing him on his hip, thanking the lord that he had gotten changed before he had woken his twin up

"Yea, mama and dada coming?" Liam asked with wide eyes as Niall heated up a bottle for Liam to drink on the way to his audition

"No baby, they aren't" Niall said watching as his brothers face crumpled

"They no love me?" Liam said as tears started to fall down his small face 

"Oh love, they do love you" Niall said hugging his tiny brother close to his chest 

"Pwomise" Liam asked as he was handed the warm baby bottle

"I promise, now come on love, we need to get going" Niall said as he grabbed the nappy bag and his car keys 

"I sit in the front?" Liam asked confused as he was placed in his car seat that normally sat behind Niall

"Yea baby, you're in the front today" Niall smiled as he buckled himself in as well

"Sweep now" Liam yawned

"Yea baby, of course" Niall said as he started the long drive

3 hours later 

"Liam darling, wake up for me" Niall said softly only getting a whimper in return

"Noo" Liam whined

"Ok, shall I just carry you love?" Niall asked gently 

"Yea" Liam whispered as he lifted his arms for Niall to pick him up, still not opening his eyes
