"Hunter!" Blake was pouting as he entered my room. "I can't find my twin anywhere."

"Cody seems to disappear a lot, hey?" I asked and sat up. Blake nodded and closed my door, walking over and sitting on my bed.

"I think he's hiding something from me." He frowned. "We usually tell each other everything, but lately he's been a bit distant. Not even a bit, a lot. He'll usually tell me if he's going somewhere, but now he disappears without a trace and literally nobody knows where he is."

"Huh, that's weird." I knitted my eyebrows together. "Maybe he's at his friend's house?"

"Who, Collin?" Blake asked and I nodded.

"Wasn't he there yesterday or something?"

"Yeah," he replied slowly, "maybe he is there. Wanna come with me?"

"Sure, why not." We both stood up and walked out of my bedroom. Blake and I padded down the stairs and entered the kitchen.

"Hunter and I are going to Collin's," Blake told his father, "just making sure Cody's there."

"Did you call him?" Liam asked.

He nodded. "Six times and they all went straight to voicemail."

"He ignored your calls?" Liam genuinely sounded surprised. "That's a first."

"I know!" Blake exclaimed. "Anyways, we'll be back in like an hour."

"Okay, drive safely." Liam waved and Blake and I smiled at him before exiting the kitchen and walking out the front door.

"Why would he not tell me that he's going to Collin's?" Blake muttered as we got into his Jeep. "It makes no sense. Collin and I are friends, too."

I really had no explanation to give him, so I simply shrugged. Blake sighed and started his car, pulling out of his driveway and driving down a dirt road for about twenty minutes until we entered the city.

"I should give you a tour of Dallas or something." Blake attempted to lift the sadness in his voice, but he failed. I could tell he was worried.

"Don't be sad, Blake." I placed a hand on his arm. "I'm sure it's nothing. Maybe Cody forgot?"

"He would've called me, though." Blake shook his head. "He barely talks to me at home. I just...does he not trust me anymore?"

"Unless you've given him a reason not to trust you, it'd be a huge dick move if he doesn't trust you for the sole reason of not trusting you." I chose my words carefully. "Did that even make sense?"

"Kinda," Blake smiled. We pulled up to a house just as big as the Harrison's and climbed out. We walked to the front door and Blake rang the doorbell. A lady with bright red hair answered.

"Blake!" She seemed startled to see him. "H-Hi, honey! Uh, what are you doing here?"

"I was just here to see if Cody was around." Blake noticed her uneasiness. "Oh, um, this is Hunter. She just moved in with us."

She smiled and shook my hand. "Nice to meet you, dear. Call me Marlene."

"Nice to meet you too, Marlene." I returned her smile, but it wasn't as near as nervous and strained as hers.

"Can we come in?" Blake asked slowly.

"Oh, yes, of course!" Marlene stepped aside and let us enter. Blake and I kicked off our shoes.

A man with thin blond hair was sitting at the table, his eyes focused on the newspaper in front of him. He looked up and his eyes widened. "Blake!"
