Chapter 21

~Mark~

I pulled up in front of Mia's apartment complex and  headed to the front door. To my luck someone was stepping out and I could easily get in. When I got to her apartment I knocked on the door. "Ruby!" I heard Mia yell, "Ruby Rose Kent! Get your clothes on!" I chuckled at myself. "Get over her now!" I don't know why I'm laughing at this but it's kind of funny.

There was a long silence so I knocked on the door again. The door flew open and Mia stood their in her uniform. I never really noticed what her uniform looks like. Well I only seen her in it a couple times so. "Hey. I didn't hear you buzz." She said.

"I was lucky enough to see someone leaving so." I said. She smiled and laughed.

"Alright. Come in." She turned around and I watched as she walked away. She was wearing a dark blue skirt, and a bright pink button up with a name tag on her chest. I closed the door behind me and walked over to the kitchen. Mia looked at the clock on the wall.

"Ruby!" Mia yelled. Ruby then came running out of the room with a small backpack on her back and little tiny box Tim in her small hands.

"Moomoo!" She yelled and ran over to me. I picked her up and gave her a kiss on the top of her head. This little girl is just so amazing. And I am glad that she's in my life. She's just a little ball of energy with a side of sass. And it's so adorable.

"You ready to go. I need to grab the car seat from my car." Mia said.

I looked over at her. "Alright you got everything?" She smiled and nodded. "And how about you?" I looked over at Ruby who was on my side.

"Yes!" She said with a huge smile.

We headed out and to the elevator. I still had Ruby in my arms. She was singing to me and playing with Tim. When we got out side Mia walked off to her car and I put Ruby down and grabbed my keys from my pocket and unlocked the door. I then saw Mia walking back with her hands full. I ran over to her and grabbed the car seat from her hands and walked back to the car. I placed it in the backseat and tried to hook it up properly but ended up doing everything wrong. "You having a problem their?" I turned around and saw Mia looking at me. "Here I got it." I got out and Mia slid in and hooked up the car seat in less than a minute. She then got out and she helped Ruby in while I held the backpack.

Once everything was situated Mia and I got into the car. And I drove her to work. We pulled up in front of he restaurant and she looked over at me. "Alright you guys. Have fun, and I'll see you guys after work OK?" She looked at Ruby then at me. I smiled at her.

"OK, we are going to have tons of fun, right sparky?" I asked her.

"Right!" She chimed in. Mia and I both smiled at her. Mia then gave me a kiss on my lips and got out of the car. I watched as she walked into the building then pulled out of the parking spot.

"Where we going?" I looked in the review mirror and saw her playing with tiny box Tim.

"We are going to my work. After we stop by my house." I said.

"Oh." She then went to scratch her head.

"Hey don't scratch." She stopped and looked at me.

"Sorry." She said like she got in Trouble.

"Don't be sorry you're not in trouble." I said. I then took my Beanie off and handed it to her. "Wear this." She giggled and put it on. It fell right above her eyes. That's to cute. She started to giggle more. I shook my head and pulled I to my drive way. When I got out I opened the back door and already saw her getting out of her seat. She jumped out and we walked to the door.

When I opened the door I let Ruby in first then closed the door behind me. Just then chica came running over to us. "Puppy!" Ruby Squeiled and ran over to chica and started to pet her.

"Her names chica." I said walking over to them and squatting down having chica jump on me.

"Hi chica!" Ruby said trying to give chica a hug.

"Hey I thought I heard someone." Tyler said then noticed Ruby. "Oh and we have company." He smiled at her. I stood up and Ruby stood behind me. Well I haven't seen this side of her.

"Ruby, say hi to Tyler." I said placing a hand on the top of her head lightly so that I didn't hurt her.

"Hi." She said walking in front of me.

"Well hi, to you to. I like your hat." He said. She started to giggle then look up at me. "She coming with us today?"

"Yep. She's gonna help us today, right?" I looked down at Ruby.

"Yeah." She smiled.

"She's gonna be the biggest help today. Finnaly, I don't have to watch over mark anymore." Tyler said.

"Shut it." I laughed.

"So you got stuck with the job of watching mark?" Tyler asked Ruby.

"No" she giggled and shook her head.

"Dang then I got stuck with that again." Tyler said. Ruby was smiling and looking at me.

"Come on. Let's go get Chica's leash." She smiled and followed me to the kitchen to grab her leash. Once I got Chica's leash we walked back to the car and I helped Ruby in. Once she was in chica jumped in and Tyler and I got in the front. This time Tyler was driving and I was in the passengers seat.
