We pulled up in front of my parents house. I got out of the car and waited for Mark to walk around the car. He grabbed my hand and we walked to the door. I knocked on the door and walked in. "Oh, mother! I'm home!" I yelled. Mark and I walked into the living room.

"Moo moo!" I saw ruby run over to us and.... Right past me and right to Mark.

"Hey sparky!" Mark said picking her up. I pressed my lips together and we turned to them. Mark looked at me with a smile. "What I do?"

"You stole my child." I said.

"I'm right here mamma." She said holding her arms out to me. I grabbed her from Mark and gave her a hug.

"Hi bug." I said giving her a kiss. "Where the boys?"

"Gone." She said, "but uncle Daryl is here!" She said squerming in my arms and making me put her on the ground. She ran off and I grabbed marks hand and pulled him with me to the kitchen. I saw my dad and my brother standing around the counter and drinking a beer.

"Hey sis!" Daryl said. I let go of marks hand and gave Daryl a hug. "This must be Mark."

"Yeah. Nice to meet you." Mark said. He then looked at me then back at my brother than back at me.

"Yeah I know. We look a lot a like." Daryl said.

"Dont know why? It's not like we twins or anything." I added. Mark started laughing and turned to my dad.

"It's nice to see you again, sir." Mark said shaking my dads hand.

"You too." My dad said, "you want a beer?"

"Sorry sir I don't drink." Mark said. My dad raised a eyebrow. "My body does not Breck down the alcohol well and it caused me to have a small heart attack. Doctors told me not to drink."

"Wow. Well good for you. Drinking is a bad habit." My dad said taking another drink. "Wish I could Breck it."

I smiled at my dad. He use to drink a lot he's mellowed out a lot when my oldest brother clark had his first kid. Because he told dad that he didn't want his kids to be around him if he keeps up the drinking. So my dad only drinks a little bit.

"Moo moo!" Rudy yelled.

"Oh quiet down little one." My mom said walking into the kitchen. "Oh look who's here." My mom walked over to me and gave me a hug while she is still holding ruby.

"Hey mom." I said. She turned to Mark and gave him a hug.

"Oh, it's so nice to see you Mark." She said.

"Its nice to see you too, Mrs. Kent." Mark said.

"Mark sweetheart, call me Jane." My mom said.

"Ok." Mark said with a smile. Ruby then leaned over to Mark and almost fell out of my mom's arms.

"Hey calm down!" My mom said.

"What are you trying to do sparky? You don't need another cracked skull." He grabbed ruby from my mom and lifted her up a little.

Then went and placed ruby on his side. "Momma can we play?

"Yes of course." Ruby wiggled out of marks arms and grabbed his hand and mine and took off to the living room.
