-Mark-

I'm making breakfast for the girls before school. "Hey daddy." I looked up from cooking and saw Natasha looking at me. She's grown so much. And it's weird to say it's been ten years.

Ten long years. But I got my two little girls.

"Yeah Squishy?" I asked turning the stove off and and putting eggs on three plates.

"I love you." She wrapped her arms around my stomach. I put the pan down and hugged her.

"I love you too." I kissed the top of her head. "Go eat." She let go and sat down on a stool at the counter. I placed a plate in front of her and she started eating.

"Good morning." I saw Ruby walk into the  kitchen and sit down at the counter by her little sister. She gave me a smile and grabbed a plate and ate. She's all grown up. 16. It's crazy.

I noticed something around her neck. I looked closer and saw a heart with a little stone heart in the middle that was amethyst.

It's the necklace I gave Mia our first Christmas. "You get into your moms jewelry box?" I asked. Ruby looks up at me.

"Yeah... I... I just." She muttered.

"Your not in trouble Ruby." I said giving her a smile. She looked up at me.

"Dad, can you tell me a story about mom?" Ruby asked. I smiled.

"Yeah." I walked over to them and pulled up a stool and sat by Ruby. Natasha plopped down off her chair and walked over to me. I picked her up and placed her in my lap. She leaned her head back on my shoulder. "So, when I first met you're guys mom was the best day of my life. I decided to take Chica out of a walk that morning because she wouldn't stop messing around. So," I looked down and saw Natasha looking up at me and Ruby with her arms in the counter with her head resting on them. She was smiling. "I was walking Chica and she got loose. I chased her and ended up falling. And when I got up I couldn't see her. I ran around a corner over by the coffee place your mom always went to. That's when I saw her. Your mom was standing there petting Chica. When she saw me she gave me a smile and stood up with the leash in her hands." I said. "Your mother was standing There in her work uniform. She hated it so much. But she said 'I'm guessing that this beautiful dog is yours?' And she was right. She handed me the leash and then I noticed the spilt coffee cup. She picked it up and said that she doesn't get coffee this morning before work. And I asked if I could maybe replace her coffee some day. And she gave me her number. I went home and meet up with some friends and went out to eat. And we went to the dinner your mom worked at."

"The one we go to, with candy?" Natasha asked.

"Yep. We went there and I ran into her again. And this time I gave her my number." I finished.

"I miss mom." Ruby said.

"I miss her too, but I get to see her in you two every day." I said with a smile. Ruby starts to cry. I generally grabbed her arm and pulled her too me and wrapped my free arm around her. She cried into my chest. "It's ok." I kissed her head. "It's ok to cry. I still cry. But then I just think of the good times."

"But I can't remember them well." She said.

"Then talk to me. I can't tell you about the first 4 years but I can tell you some really good memories you have with her." I told her. "Come on. It's time for school."

We walked out side and I locked the door and got into car. We drove to Natasha's school and dropped her off. I looked over at Ruby. It looks like she staying to stop crying. "It's ok cry. You should never have to hide it."

"Ok."

"And if you ever, EVER want to talk about your mom call me. No matter what. No matter where you are. I'll come and get you." We pulled up to her school.

"Ok." She gave me a hug and got out of the car. I was getting ready to pull away when my phone went off. With out looking I answered it.

"Can you pick me up. I miss mom can you come and get me." I heard Ruby's voice mutter. I looked at her trough the window and sees her 5 feet away crying. Her face was red and puffy.

"Of course sparky."
