I ran into the hospital's emergency room and saw mia's room mate sitting in a chair. "Rocky!" He looked over at me and stood up.

"Mark." He said.

"What happened?" I asked when I got over to him. All I know is that Mia told me that Rudy was being taken to the emergency room. And I hat was by text. So I'm pretty much clueless.

"I don't know. All I know Ruby must have cracked her head. And I don't know what she was doing either." Rocky said.

"Where is she?" A guy yelled.

"What the fuck is he doing here?" Rocky said. The guy was storming over to us.

"Where the hell is she?" He yelled.

"What does it matter to you?" Rocky said.

"That's my little girl." Oh shot it's mia's ex. Just then the emergency doors open and Mia walked out with Ruby on her hip. She stopped and looked at us.

"Drew what are you doing here?" She said calmly.

"I came to see my daughter." He yelled. Rocky and I walked over to her. And she handed Ruby to Rocky.

"Get her out of here." Mia said. And Rocky walked out of the room with Ruby. Drew tried to go after them but Mia grabed his arm and pulled him back to her. "You better get out of here."

"That's my daughter." He yelled.

"No she's not. You were never around!" Mia yelled.

"Because you never let me!"

"Yes I did. I tried for a year to get you to see her and you never did. So why come now!" She yelled. People started to look at us.

"You little bitch no you didn't." He said

"Wow. Hey, you better back the hell off." I stepped in.

"What you going to do about it?" He said. He was a few inches taller than me. "Is this who you traded for me?"

"Get out." She said.

"No. That's my daughter!" He yelled. "What were you even doing when she got hurt? Huh?"

"I was in the kitchen." She said.

"And where was she?" He yelled.

"In her room." She yelled back. "I thought she was OK. Nothing like this has ever happened before."

"And loom what happened. You fucked up." Mia started crying. And I couldn't let this go on.

"Hey man, the best thing for Rudy right now is for us to go home and Ruby to rest." I said.

"Who do you think you are?" Drew yelled at me. " you are not her father."

"He's has been more than a father to her in this past weekend than you have been in 3 God damn years!" Mia yelled. "So you have no place to speak."

"Fine. But I have my rights." Drew yelled. "And this situation right here. Is going to help me." Then he stormed off. I turned to Mia who was red in the face and shaking. I pulled her into a hug and she started to cry even more.

"Shh." I said.

"It's all my fault. I wasn't paying attention to her like I was supposed to." She cried.

"No it's not. It was a freck accident. How many times have you left her in a room by her self?"

"A lot."

And how many times has she got hurt?" I asked. She pulled away from me.

"Just this time." She said looking up at me with red eyes. I placed one hand on her cheek and rubbed the tears away with my thumb. I then kissed the top of her head.

"Let's go find Ruby." I smiled at her and she gave me a small one in return.

We walked towards the direction Rocky went and ended up at the cafeteria. We looked inside and saw Rudy and Rocky sitting at a table with Rudy eatting, what I'm guessing is ice cream. "Hey bug." Mia kissed the top of Ruby's head.

"Hi momma." She ate a spoonful of ice cream. "Hi Marky."

"Hey sparky." I also kissed the top of her head. We both sat down and waited for Ruby to finish her ice cream. It was really quiet.

"Momma my head hurts." Ruby said and tried to scratch her head.

"Hey. Don't do that!" Mia yelled and grabed Ruby's hand. "You can't do that bug, ok. It will make it hurt more."

"Oh." Ruby went back to eatting her ice cream.

After she was done we walked out of the hospital. "Momma. Can we ride with Marky?" Ruby asked.

"I don't know bug." She looked over at me.

"Yeah that's fine." I said. They both smiled.

"So I'll meet you guys at home." Rocky said and walked off.

"I'll get the car." I said. I walked off and got my car. When I pulled up to them they both climed in the back.

"I'm just gonna sit back here with her sence we don't have a car seat." Mia said.

"Alright." I looked over at the passenger seat and saw the tiny box Tim. I picked it up and turned in my seat. "Hey sparky look what I got here." Her eyes widened and she grabed it from my hands.

"It's so cute!" She yelled and smiled.

"Yeah it's for you." I said.

"For me?" She said.

"Yep. You said you liked it before so I got you one of your own." I turned back around and started to drive.

"Momma look!"

"Yeah I know. Now what do you tell mark?" Mia asked.

"Ok. Thank you moo moo." I looked at her through the review mirror.

"Moo moo?" I asked. "Where'd you get that from?"

"I like cows." She giggled.

Mia and I both laughed. This girl is just weird. Like her mom. And I can't imagine losing either of them.
