The Big Four

The Gate of Darkness

The Big Four are resting as they traveled a long way. There's just too much events that happened and it has been very tough to them, one was really worried.

"Are you sure that we can beat Darkiana?" Hiccup asked. Jack stared at Hiccup for a long time, he can see the ripped parts of his green shirt and the dirt marked on his face. He knows that he may be a little afraid.

"What makes you say that?" Jack asked. "Well, I mean we've been really tired lately. There's a whole lot of adventures ahead of us than I ever expected. Aren't we all tired? Are you sure that we're ready? I mean...look at those girls, they seemed like they need a cup of tea," Hiccup said. Jack looked at both girls, they were wiping their faces with lake water. 

"Are you saying that we have to go back and just give up?" Jack asked. "No, I didn't mean to make you think that way. It's just that, I didn't know it would be this difficult. I'm not saying I'm backing up, or neither I want us to. But I just want to know what we're going to do right now because we're so close to the end," Hiccup explained. 

Jack was the one who's afraid. Afraid for his team, afraid for what's going to happen to them. He was the one thinking that he may need to get his team back and he himself will finish it alone. But he was also afraid being alone, he is weak because of fear, and with his team he felt like he could defeat even the most powerful darkness on earth.

"Sorry, I was the one thinking that way. I just don't want to loose you guys, I mean...you've been like my best friends. I'm over 300 years old you know, and I just...all my life I've never had friends like you guys," Jack said. Hiccup puts his hand on Jack's shoulder. "I know man, you're afraid to loose us, but you know what...we're afraid that we're going to loose you. I mean, you've built this team and made it even stronger. You are the reason why we become a legend and why we had this amazing adventure. And you gave us a reason to fight and to live. We are the Big Four, and we can do this together, okay?" Hiccup said.

"Hiccup, can you go with me to pick more woods and berries? We need to get more before the sun goes down," Rapunzel called. Hiccup smirks and nodded. "Yea! Wait for me there," Hiccup said. "So um, I'll leave you two lovebirds for a while," Hiccup pats Jack's back. 

Jack smirked and giggles. "Take care," Jack said. 

The darkness was still far away, but it grows bigger and faster. There's so much power that builds within it, only a great amount of light will end it.

Merida was sitting by a tree and carving some wood while looking at the moonlight. "Boo!" Jack shouted. "Ahh! Jaaaack! Ugh, flibidy gibit," Merida said as she was in shock. "You know, I miss telling jokes on you, especially when you do that angry face," Jack said. Merida did the angry look. "That's it! Haha, so, what're you carving?" Jack asked as he scoots closer to Merida.

She showed and ice arrow with a dragon and with a sun in the background. "It's us, all of us combined and wrapped together. It shows a really great bond and strength, it's the hardest one yet, because of the ice," Merida raised her eyebrows and looked at Jack. "Ugh, come on. I know the dragon was the hardest one, you're just playing jokes on me," Jack said. "Hmm, maybe. But still it was a little difficult, it's about the details ya know," Merida said. "Thanks Mer, you're really doing everything to make me stronger huh," Jack said.

"Of course, you're the leader of this team. And I care about you...I love you Jack. And I'm afraid for you," Merida said. "Heh, what are you afraid of?" Jack asked. "I'm afraid that someday you may have a decision and I know that you'll do the right thing for us, even if it's wrong to us," Merida said. "What are you talking about?" Jack asked.

"I don't know...I just feel like it. What if the time comes? I don't want to loose ya," Merida said. Jack held Merida's cheeks and head it towards him. "Look, no one is going to loose anyone okay? I promise," Jack then hugs Merida for comfort. "I'm not going to leave you...ever," Jack said.

In the morning, they have all prepared for their things and now on their way to the Way of Light, which is the Gate of Darkness now. And they were very close to the end.

The Big Four are now facing the gate, it was dark and full of thorns. There are the keyholes of gems that only the princesses crowns can open and bring it back to light. "Okay...here it is, we're really close," Rapunzel said. They all grabbed the gems and put it on each keyholes. All of them fit perfectly.

The gate turned to white, and all of the torn turned into flowers with green vines. It was magical and soulful. The beauty of the princesses and their purity and kindness has defeated the darkness that dwells in the gate. They were all in relief.

"Wow...it's so beautiful," Merida said. 

"Well...well, well," a voice came from the skies. They saw Darkiana as she floats down from the skies. "Here you are, and you broke my decorations, you really think that the Way of Light can defeat the darkness within this gate?" Darkiana casts a spell on the gate, but it was surprising. The gate didn't turn dark, and it was fighting the light over Darkiana's spells. 

"What?" Darkiana said. "You can't defeat light Darkiana, this ends right now," Jack said.

"Oh really?" Darkiana casts a darkness and grabbed the three besides Jack. They were all tied up and they can't fight back. Jack looked at them as they looked so hopeless. "Let them go!" Jack shouted. 

"It's you or them, you know this time will come. The end of the Big Four, but I know you haven't seen this in your dream, so I'll give you a chance to change it. It's you...or them. Pick your choice Jack Frost, I know you have the power of the Man in Moon. You have a choice, they will fight for me together...or you alone?" Darkiana said.

"No Jack! This is what she wants, she will draw you to the prophecy!" Merida shouted.

Jack was so confused, this is what Merida's been trying to tell him. But he knows that the only choice he has is this...

"Okay...let them go, take me instead," Jack said.
