Jackson was just sitting on his roof while playing quietly with his staff. "May I join ya?" a voice called him. It was Merida, standing behind him. Jackson nodded to him. Merida sat down beside him and scoots a little bit closer to Jackson, because she wanted to talk to him. "So, how long have you been living like this?" Merida asked. "Probably hundred years ago. Why'd you ask?" Jackson asked and looked at Merida. "Nothing, I just wanted to ask. But, I can see why you can live by yourself," Merida answered. "Exactly," Jackson said. Merida looked at Jackson, and she felt the loneliness inside him. He might be okay on the outside, but it was a little obvious that he is very much sad inside.
"Anyway, I just wanted to ask that and just hang with ya for a moment but I need to go now," Merida said with a smile. Merida got up but Jackson grabbed her arm. Merida hurriedly looked back and stared at him. "Can you...stay for a while, please?" Jackson asked. Merida knew he wanted a companion. She looked in his eyes and she knew he was pleading for her to stay. Merida sat down again with him.
Jack and Hiccup were just going back in the house. "What's with that Jackson guy with all his grumpy side?" Hiccup asked. "Hey, he's just as fun like me. Strong, like me. And handsome, like me," Jack said with a smirk. "Yea I agree with you, but not with the last one," Hiccup teased. Jack growled at him. "Let's just go, the girls might be waiting for us," Jack said. When he headed back, he saw Jackson with Merida. A weird feeling came into him.
He started to feel suspicious and mad at Jackson. He saw him laughing with her and hanging out together. "I'm just gonna head to the woods with Toothless to get something to eat okay?" Hiccup asked. Jack didn't answer back. He started to feel like Jackson was trying to get Merida from him. Yes, he is jealous at him. "Jack? You okay?" Hiccup asked. "Yea, I'm fine," Jack answered. Hiccup went away with Toothless. Jackson saw him and hurriedly he said goodbye to Merida and went down.
Jack hurriedly finds Jackson. And he saw him going down the stairs. Jack grabbed Jackson's jacket and leaned him against the wall. "Whoa, calm down now. What's wrong?" Jackson asked while chuckling. "Look, I trust you okay? I am trying to help you, but if there's anything that you'll do bad for my team especially to my girlfriend, I'm going against you," Jack said. "Well...what if I say this okay? What if I say that I like your girlfriend and I am against you, would that be fair?" Jackson asked. "Don't you dare do it. Or else," Jack said.
"Or else what? See now? You are starting to be like me, and now I'm starting to be like you. See the difference? I am doing this to show you who I really am and who I was. And if you really want to help me, then don't be against me. I didn't even do anything yet, you overthink things so much, and I felt that because I worry so much. Sometimes I feel like what I feel is true and it bothers me, I feel like I don't want to go much further because I am worried about the people around me. Isn't that what you feel?" Jackson explains.
Jack didn't answer, he let his hand go on Jackson. "I'm sorry. It's just that I am really worried about things lately," Jack answered. "It's fine, but if you really wanted the truth, then here you go. I don't like your girlfriend and I'm just her friend, and I don't want anything bad happen to each of you," Jackson said. Jack nodded to him. "I need to go, remember what I said," Jackson said and walked away. Now Jack understands him more. He knew he was like him, but now Jackson is different.
"Guys! I've got some trout here," Hiccup shouted. Jack went outside and went back to the group. "Oh, I love these. I've never eaten these much ever since," Rapunzel said. "Well, dig in," Hiccup said. All of them grabbed one trout for theirselves. They set a campire and cooked it in there. "Oh, this is so good," Rapunzel said. "Well, luckily I find a lot so that we can still eat it tomorrow," Hiccup said. Later on, they all went to sleep.
Jack was having another nightmare as he sleeps. Darkness started to haunt him once again. Jack was all alone and he saw the other Guardians' lifeless body lying on the ground. "North!? Bunny!? Tooth!? Sandy! Wake up!" Jack shouted. A evil laugh echoed through the background. He was in a dark city with all chaos. He saw the buildings crashed into pieces, the bridge started to fall down in the whirpool. "You will never save them Jack, the prophecy will happen, and soon you will all perish," Darkiana's voice said.
Jack fell down in the whirpool and screamed. "Jack!? Wake up!" Merida, Hiccup, and Rapunzel woke him up and has opened his eyes. Jack breaths heavily and he saw the three staring at him. "Whoa, you've got a big nightmare going on, what is it?" Hiccup asked. "I...I don't know, it's just that, I saw North and the Guardians, they were," Jack said. "What?" Rapunzel asked. "Dead," Jack answered. The three gasped in unison. "Oh no, hey it's not true. Don't worry about it," Rapunzel comforts. "Ya, it was just a nightmare," Merida said. "I do hope so," Jack said.
"We'll be on your side so that we can wake you if you have a nightmare again," Merida said. "Thanks guys, but I'm fine really," Jack said. "Dude, call me gay for sleeping next to you but we're still sleeping here beside you," Hiccup said. "Okay, but you can sleep next to the girls," Jack answered. "Nah, I'm your best man friend. I am going to sit beside you no matter what," Hiccup said. "Thanks," Jack said. Then, they all slept together, in the middle there's Jack. In his left is Hiccup and in his right is Merida, then Rapunzel sleeps at Merida's side. Now, Jack didn't have anymore nightmares.
Soon, Darkiana will haunt and give them a terror. But is the darkness close?
