They all took a rest in the forest, but they'll leave at dawn before it will all be too late. Merida was still hanging out with Jack. They both sat on a tree and looked at the moonlight. Merida kept on staring and giving Jack a smile. "What?" Jack asked. "So this is you back then," Merida said. "Yea, it's me when I'm still 17," Jack said. "Wow, ya look so attractive," Merida said. "Are you saying that I don't look attractive back then?" Jack asked. "No, I'm just saying that you also look attractive from the past too," Merida shrugged her shoulders. "What if I didn't become Jack Frost, and you know just became this guy," Jack thought. "Look, ya are Jack Frost. And ya have yar own fate, all of us have. You didn't choose that fate Jack, the fate chose you," Merida smiled. Jack nodded to her.
He took her arm, and he accidentally saw the wedding ring of Merida. "Were you married to someone?" Jack asked. "Well, unfortunately yes. To that Wee Dingwall," Merida rolled her eyes. "B-but, I thought you love me," Jack became jealous. "I do, it's just that the contract made me do it. I guess I was a better daughter that mum evar had. It's because the contract said that you'll be a better person, and yes I guess I've been following mum's orders," Merida said. "Yea, I get it. I understand you, and I know you didn't like it either," Jack nodded to her as sign of understanding.
"What about ya Jack? Aren't ya happy ya saw yar sister?" Merida asked. "Of course I am, I just didn't want it to happen in a different kind of way. She doesn't know North or Tooth," Jack said. "Oh, ya mean...Santa Claus? Tooth fairy, or the Easter Bunny? Any kinds of guardians?" Merida asked. "No, and I've been trying to reach them, I guess they never existed in this world...neither do I," Jack said. Merida started to look up the sky and sniffs. "I-I'm sorry," Merida comforts him. Jack stared at the contract. "If I just didn't sign this stupid contract," Jack tried to throw it away but Merida grabbed his arm. "Ya know that won't get anything back, and it's not yar fault lad. We all wanted to end this darkness," Merida said.
"I uh...I just ugh. I've been wanting to hold my sister, and just say that I miss her so much," Jack said. "I know Jack, I wanted to just held my parents so tight that it feels like a very long time, but don't ya worry now. We can do this, we're still a team, and that's the thing that didn't change," Merida held his hand. "I'm...still your boyfriend right?" Jack asked with his eyebrows raised. "Well, ya didn't change as well I can see," Merida giggles. "Awwwww," Jack hugged Merida and swing her across his arms.
Early morning, the three hurriedly packed up their things. Merida followed the wisps and Jack followed the stars. They knew it was the right way, this is their only hope. Jack knows that North might be calling into them or the other Guardians. The wisps and the stars are on the exact way so they felt it, Hiccup is somewhere near.
Finally, they've found Berk. It still look the same, but they know that there's something wrong. "I like your hair by the way," Jack said to Rapunzel. "Um, thanks? But I like gold better you know," Rapunzel said. "Sssh, wait. Aren't ya noticing anything strange?" Merida asked. "What do you mean strange?" Rapunzel asked. "There aren't any dragons here," Merida answered. The two noticed as well. "You're right, maybe they're trapped," Jack whispered. "Come on, let's blend in," Merida said. "Wait, don't we look kinda different?" Jack asked. "Do ya think that they're going to capture a man who has a brown hair and wearing old clothes?" Merida asked with her arm on her waist. Jack sighs.
They both went out, and Merida was right. There aren't any dragons anywhere, it seemed like a normal village. They saw Snotlout, and the three hid in the back to try and capture him. "We're going to capture him, aren't we?" Rapunzel asked. "I know they might not know us, but I think he knows what's going on," Jack said. As Snotlout was whistling along while walking, the three hurriedly captured him and hid Snotlout inside a old house with a bag on his head
"What's happening! Let me go!" Snotlout shouted. They both took the bag off his head. Snotlout was amazed as he saw Rapunzel and Merida. "Wooow, beautiful girls trying to kidnap me...sweeeet," Snotlout said. Merida punched his shoulder. "Aw! That hurts," Snotlout shouted. "Where are the dragons?" Merida asked. "What dragons?" he asked. "The dragons? Toothless?" Rapunzel asked. "What are you guys talking about? Who's Toothless?" Snotlout asked with confusion. "The dragon!" Jack shouted. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Look, I don't know what are you guys talking about or what you want from dragons but they're all gone for like five years ago, and there was this Night Fury that was killed two years ago," Snotlout said. They were all shocked. "Who killed them?" Jack asked.
"Um, Hiccup and with his father and all the clans. Too bad I wasn't invited, because they said that I'm not too good to be a Viking," Snotlout said. "No, that's impossible, it can't be true," Rapunzel said. "Guys, we need to find Hiccup, now!" Jack and the team hurriedly ran outside. "Um guys! Don't leave me here!" Snotlout shouted.
They all entered Hiccup's house but he wasn't there. "Maybe he's in the hall!" Merida shouted. The three ran through the hall and saw someone they weren't expecting.
"Rumple," Jack said. "Oh, hello children. Have you enjoyed my reward yet? I think it's too early," Rumple said. "No more games Rumple! Where's Hiccup," Jack shouted. "Oh, he's just...right over there having a nice view of the fire," Rumple showed Hiccup tied in chains and was about to fall down to a melting lava. "Guys!" Hiccup shouted. "Hiccup! You let him go right now or else," Merida points her arrow at Rumple. "Or else what? You're going to shoot me? Oh I am so scared, but if you shoot me, your friend dies, and if your friend dies? Ooooh! I know, there's no way you could get back, right?" Rumple said with a huge grin. "We need answers right now! What happened to us! Why do you give us good lives but with something worse?" Rapunzel asked.
"Let me see here, Jack you wanted to see your sister, Merida you wanted to go home and hug your parents, so as you Rapunzel and Hiccup, that's what you wanted right?" Rumple asked. "Yea that's what we wanted, but not in that way, you promised us!" Jack shouted.
"You guys don't get it either do you? Ugh, here we go again. You see Jack, if you want to see your sister like from 300 years ago? I mean, you're not Jack Frost right? You're just Jack Overland, and that's it, no Santa, no Toothfairy, no Easter Bunny or the Sandman! And you Merida, you promised that you would be a good girl right? Well, there you have it, you just followed your mom's orders to marry someone right? Oh Rapunzel, you wanted to go back too? Well, let's see. You were a healthy baby girl, no golden flower is used upon you no magic or such healing powers exist. And with no golden hair...no Eugene. And lastly, Hiccup. You were said the worst Viking that can't kill a dragon, well guess what, you already killed one! And it's your friend, the Night Fury, or should I say Toothless?" Rumple explained and laughed.
"You didn't tell us anything about that! We couldn't have signed it!" Rapunzel shouted.
"Shut your mouth! What done is done, now...let's see if you can still escape this world," Rumple said.
