So this chapter was turning out to be longer than I originally intended to, so I had to split it into two parts, or it would have put some people off (or maybe it wouldn't have). As usual, thank you so much for your continued support. Please continue to vote, comment, follow and share if you liked it. Also, I would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Christmas morning always feels kind of magical.
There just seems to be this sort of...Feeling in the air that you don't get any other time of year. I always used to love waking up on Christmas morning, feeling the heavy buzz of excitement for the day ahead. I was always disappointed but the magical feeling never faded. This Christmas doesn't feel any different. The room is washed out with a soft, blue light that softens the edges of the room and makes things seem more beautiful. Even the dresser in the corner holds a certain sense of tranquillity to it.
Evan snores gently beside me and I find my heart swelling at the sight of him. I could watch him sleep all night, but that would be considered creepy. His hair falls into his eyes slightly and I reach over to brush it away. He twitches in his sleep and his arm wraps around my waist, drawing me in. I smile, even in sleep Evan gravitates towards me.
I allow my head to fall into the crook of his shoulder. His body is warm, comforting and I feel inexplicably safe with his arms wrapped tightly around me. I grin to myself and tuck my leg between his thighs, getting myself into a more comfortable position. He mumbles something in his sleep and emits a slight whining sound, puckering his lips slightly. I giggle and run my thumb over his lips, relishing the feel of the soft flesh under the pads of my thumbs.
“Mmm. Morning.” he whispers, eyes still closed.
I smile and lean down, letting my hair tickle his face as I press a kiss to his lips. His lips quirk beneath mine and he digs his fingers into my ribs, earning a loud shriek as it tickles the sensitive skin. Evans eyes snap open and he grins sleepily at me.
I lean close and press my lips close against his skin. I grin widely when he shivers under my touch. “Merry Christmas.” I whisper.
“Merry Christmas, Lily flower.” Evan smiles up at me, lifting a tender hand to run through my crazy bed hair.
I smile and lean down, resting my head on his chest. “You're really cute.” I whisper when Evans hand plays absently with my hair. My face burns at my verbal proclamation and Evans chest vibrates beneath me as he chuckles.
“Well you're not too bad yourself, Lily flower.” he says softly.
“Sorry,” I bluster. “I don't know where that came from.”
“Don't be,” Evans voice suddenly seems closer. “It was pretty adorable.”
I giggle and snuggle into him, tracing lazy patterns on his chest. His chest rises and falls as my hands trail lower, gently thumbing over the hem of his pyjama top. I feel quite smug that I can garner this reaction out of the normally contrite Evan.
“Take your shirt off.” I demand, sitting up slightly.
His eyes widen in surprise and I tug impatiently at the hem, trying to aid it in getting it over Evans broad shoulders. He bursts out laughing; a rich sound like running chocolate. “My my, Lily. Planning to perv on me?”
I roll my eyes and smack his shoulder. He winces and sits up, chuckling slightly. His hands find the hem of his shirt and he pulls it over his head, trembling slightly. I stare at his chest. Slowly, making sure Evans eyes are on my face, I let my tongue dart out and lick my lips.
He swallows audibly and I climb onto his lap, placing my legs either side of his thighs. His eyes widen as I lean forwards and press a kiss on his shoulder. He almost jumps as my lips make contact with his skin and I smirk against him.
