School went by actually pretty fast that day. I guess since I was focused more on the fact that my psychopathic ex boyfriend was attempting to take me as his own as if I was property, I didn't really pay much attention to the clock.
Malfoy actually wasn't at school at all. I didn't know if it was reassuring or not. Where else would he be if he was trying to get close to me?
But today, I graduated. I had to make myself think that Draco wouldn't try something with all those people around. It kept me from totally going crazy.
True to her word, now that Hermione, Harry and Ron are back (since they went to the order to tell everyone what the bloody hell was going on without telling me), Rosalie and many of the others had been passing through.
Paul had appeared in my bedroom, having had climbed through my window as I was choosing a dress for the party. Alice had beefed up my whole wardrobe with everything from skirts to cocktail dresses so who could guess what was in here.
"You should start locking your windows," he chastised with a smirk as I rolled my eyes, showing him the dress I chose.
"There better not be other boys looking at you in that," he growled and rolled my eyes as I grabbed a pair of black pumps.
"Don't worry, Paul." I laughed, reassuringly as I set the things on my bed before hugging him. His hands traveled from my waist to my butt and he gave a squeeze.
The door opened to reveal a horrified Bella.
"As much as I love my sister," We heard and turned to see Bella. "I don't like to see her boyfriend squeezing her butt."
Paul laughed and kissed me before walking towards the window. "See you at graduation, Babe."
I smiled as he disappeared and Bella turned to me. "You two are insane."
"I think I'm in love with him."
She looked at me with wide eyes.
"You've known him for like three weeks."
"I've known him for thirteen years, Bella." I reminded her as I held up the dress to show her. "Will you zip me?"
-----
I sat on the chair next to Hermione, Ron, Harry, Bella, Alice, Edward and Jasper.
Harry had been quietly talking with me about how to talk to Ginny and take her on proper dates while Jessica was giving her speech.
"I've never been on a date before," he spoke nervously. "What if I screw it up?"
"You're a pro at screwing things up," I spoke, amused and he rolled his eyes.
"Not helping."
I turned to him, the tassel from my cap hitting my cheek.
"Harry, the girl's liked you since she met you when you were twelve. I don't think there's a lot you could do to get her off you."
He looked at me and I looked at him, my lips curling in a reassuring smile.
"If he graduates would line up," the principle spoke over the mic, "we'll start giving diplomas and awards."
We all lined up in alphabetical order. I was with Bella and Jessica.
Jessica and I babbled excitedly about graduating where Bella chimed in once and a while.
It was my turn to step onto the stage. Draco did get his diploma and watched me intensely as I walked up.
Paul stood and clapped loudly, cheering as I shook hands with the principal.
Walking off the steps, I didn't even make eye contact with Draco as I hugged my father, then kissed Paul.
My dad and Paul shook hands in that weird 'I've seen you kiss my daughter but you haven't hurt her so I won't hurt you' way.
"You kids have fun at the graduation party. I've got to go to the station to do some stuff for this missing persons case."
I took my dad into another hug. "Love you, Dad."
-----
I sat in the car with Paul. He wasn't staying for the party, since it was at the Cullen's house, but he wanted to make sure I got there safe and sound.
"I don't think I've told you," he spoke. "But you look beautiful."
I smiled and leaning up to kiss him.
"Thank you," I spoke and locked my fingers with his after he swung his right arm over my shoulder, his left controlling the wheel.
"I'm so proud of you for graduating," he spoke as he stopped at a red light. "You deserve more for saving so many people but I'm sorry I can't give you much."
"I love you," I blurted.
Fuck. Oh fuck fuck fuck.
That's not something I wanted to say.
When the light turned green on the empty street intersection that night, Paul didn't go. He kept his foot on the brake.
"What?" He breathed, his voice so low I almost didn't hear.
"Never mind, it's-"
He looked at me. "Say it again."
I exhaled nervously as I turned to him. "I. Love. You."
"You have no idea how long I've waited to hear you say that."
So this one didn't have much in it. It was some fluffy love stuff but I love fluffy love stuff. With the next chapter, it's going to get really intense and I'm quite excited.
Peace mijos
