"Daniella?" The voice calls. I scuttle farther back into the closet. I am shaking in fear at the thought of him finding me. His footsteps get louder, closer to my hiding place. "Come out Daniella, there is something I want you to see." I make no movement. "Now Daniella, you wouldn't want any harm to come to your friend now do you?" My breathing hitches. "Don't come out Ella!" T yells. I let my tears fall freely down my face. I don't want to face Father, but T is in trouble. I stand up slowly, my knees about to buckle at any sudden movements. With shaking fingers I open up the door to the closet. "I should have known." Father sneers, "The damn closet." T looks at me with a heartbroken expression. "Good choice daughter, your precious friend is saved." Father pushes T down onto the ground. He is fast to move towards me and sit in front of me protectively. "You ok?" He mouths. I nod. Father looks at the two of us, debating on what to do next. "Why did you come here boy?" T speaks up, not afraid of Father; he never is. "Ella, is my friend, has been for as long as I can remember; I can't come over to see her?" Father produces a low guttural sound, not liking the disrespect evident in T's tone. "Watch it boy." T swallows but doesn't move his gaze away. Father turns his attention to me. "Daniella, you never told me you continued to see this boy." I shrink farther back behind T. "Our Mothers were friends, just because Ella's mom is gone, and our mothers can't see each other anymore doesn't mean me and Ella had to stop."  I grab the back of T's shirt; can't he tell he is making this worse? Father takes a step forward, sending me a look full of hate. "Daniella I thought I told you no friends." I whimper in fear. T doesn't like this and clenches his fist. But what can he do. Tate is only 14; a boy compared to Father. Father smiles evilly, pulling T up by his upper arm. "I warned you Daniella, this is your entire fault. You caused this." I open my mouth in a silent scream as he plunges the knife through Tate's back. Neither of us say a word, me because I can't, and T, because he is in shock. I ignore Father and rush forward to cradle T's head in my lap. My best friend; the only people I've ever cared about now dead at the hands of my Father. T looks up at me, a gurgling sound slowly erupting from his throat, a sign that I don't have the time to save him. My tears are pouring down onto his face. T smiles at me, and takes his last breath. I kiss his forehead and close his eye lids. I turn to Father who is already looking at me with that wicked smile of his. "I am in charge of you, you do as I say. Now clean up this mess." He stalks out of my room, an innocent child's blood staining his clothes.

I wake up gasping for breath. My eyes dart around the room looking for the one person who can calm my erratic heart. But he isn't here. Based on the cold spot where he normally sleeps he never came. I stand up off the bed with shaky hands. I need Cole. In the pitch darkness of night I make my way to the office. I open the door to see Cole leaning over the desk, eyes focused on the map. His hair is disheveled and the top three buttons on his shirt are open. If he notices me come in he doesn't mention it. With silent steps and convulsing hands I make my way over to him. I wrap my arms around his torso, resting my head on his well sculpted back. I close my eyes in bliss, allowing his scent and touch to erase my nightmare. Cole breathes in deeply, my touch easing some of his stress. With one swift movement Cole had us flipped around so my head lay on his chest while bringing his arms up, snaking them around my slim figure. We just stand there, relishing in the comfort we bring each other.

Cole speaks first, "I love you Dani. Goddess, I love you with every fiber within me." I can't hold back my smile. "I love you too Cole." He bends his head, bringing his lips down to meet mine. The gesture makes my head dizzy, but in a good way. Cole moves his hand up to my face, his thumb caressing my cheek. Instinctively I move my own hands to the back of his neck, gently pulling on the roots of his hair. Cole groans into the kiss, encouraging my movement. His tongue shoots out sweeping against my bottom lip. My mouth opens on its own accord. Cole continues the kiss on this new level. The dizziness in my head gets stronger and I realize it's from lack of air. I pull away from Cole's enchanting lips gasping for breath. Cole smiles and places one last kiss on my already swollen lips.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Cole asks once I regain control of my breath. I shake my head settling back on his lap. Cole kisses the top of my head and tightens his hold around my waist. I direct my gaze to the map sprawled out on the desk. "Are you really going to fight my father?" I can feel Cole shift behind me, brining me closer to his chest. "Yeah Dani, your father called war, that means I'm going to have to fight him." I nod my head slowly, showing my understanding. "You won't forget about me because you are focused on defeating my Father right?" Cole shifts us so I am looking at his face. "You are my number one priority Dani." Cole sits me down on the chair and moves to kneel at my feet. "Daniella Richards, you are my mate, my Luna, the love of my life. I pledge to love you with everything I have, to protect you with my own body if need be, to make sure you are always happy and smiling, to provide for you for as long as we both may live, to treat you like the queen that you are to me, and lastly I pledge to be an amazing father to any future children that we have. I give you this oath, my word, as your Alpha, but also as your mate." "Your Father won't hurt you Dani; I and our pack will ensure it."

I am crying by the time Cole stands back up. I don't have any words to say, but that is ok because my face holds all my emotions. Cole understands.

"Do you want to get some sleep?" I shake my head, "Can we lie down on the couch though?" Cole smiles and nods before leading me over to the couch in the office. Cole lays down first before pulling me down on top of him. I unbutton the rest of Cole's shirt so I can trace patterns onto his chest. Flesh to flesh, something that calms us both down. In tandem, Cole twirls strands of my hair. We stay this away, in silence, until dawn approaches us and our day as Alpha and Luna begin.

Question of the day: Alec or Parker?

Which one do you dislike more and hope I write them a horrible ending? I know you don't really know much information on the two, so go off of your first impressions.
